Muted swan funky french for Denmark

I figured I'd show you some more from the Where In the World Challenge since I'm starting to have some in the archive and I think it's better to let them out in the open instead! Today it's all about Denmark, which is land no. 7 in the list.

I've got lots of positive thoughts about Denmark, it's close to Sweden and therefore I've been there on vacation several times. I really love their bread culture with cute bakery's everywhere. In Sweden we sadly have a more "defrost-to-ready sponge like bread in plastic bags" in the grocery shop, not that many bakery's (comparing to Denmark) and the few ones are quite expensive. Denmark also have their Danish pastry's which I never thinks tastes the same in Sweden. By now you might think there's going to be some kind of bread/pastry nail art, right? That would have been cool but now I went for symbols, and the national bird is the Muted Swan. I found a cute graphical image which I pretty much used as inspiration and free handed on my nails as a funky french. Thought that I'd show it but now it seems lost from google?
Anyhow, here you have it;
As you can see I went for the bird funky french.

Oily black spotted water marble

God morning folks! :)
The nail art I'm showing today (archive though as usual) I've used the spotted water marble technique, depending on how you do it it can look like OPI controversal polish "Black Spotted" which only were sold limited. I really wanted that polish but quite shortly after the release, tutorials of this started popping up. I ended up not buying Black Spotted since the same effect can be accomplish with any black creme polish, water and any spray bottle. This time I went for an oily effect, it's not perfect on all nails and for my right hand I went for an accent, less oily. Of cause I wanted a cool background and went for a vertical like gradient in neon green and neon yellow.

Abstract American nail art

Today I'm showing the 6th country in the Where In The World Challenge and the country is USA. I had a hard time coming up with a cool idea, USA is so large (so many things to make fun nail art of) and when I did this for some months ago 4th of july had just passed and then I did a USA water marble. This time I went for abstract again and used the needle technique (needle dragging nail art) to create patterns in red, blue and white.

I started with red, blue and a jelly white since I thought it could look almost like a funky french. I made these images small but they're are as usual clickable if you want to take a closer look.

However, After a while I felt like something was missing and added a white glitter polish on top and I think it came together even better than before!

Hope you liked this!

Heart shaped nail polish bottle - green, swatch

Are'nt things fun, yesterday I said that I should post earlier and yea I was going to, until I realized that internet didn't work. The reason was that someone accidently had damaged the main internet cable while working on something, appearently a large area of mostly northen sweden was affected. Now it's back as you understand.
Yesterday I also said that I'd show a post for my where in the world challenge but I figured since is Wednesday and I've already have a bunch of green in the archive I might as well show that first, and tomorrow I'll do a challenge post. And as usual it's Green Wednesday at Vacker&Underbar.

The green I'm showing today I've bought from a woman in a facebook group I'm in, she had bought a bunch of polishes in Thailand (I'd so love to go there!!) and afterwards realized that she didn't need all of them. Since I love green, I bought a "green bag of unknown greens" for a cheap price and this heart-bottled green one below is one of them.

As you can see from the pictures it's a green towards blue and it's a creme and the formula was awesome! It went on like butter, I didn't need to do any clean up and pictures show 2 coats.

It has no brand name, name or number but I suspect that it could be something from Etude House since the cap is used by them. Or what do you think?

Skittle nail art

Haha, I feel a tiny bit slow posting, let's go with the base for this nail art which is a nail art like this too, namely a skittle. I must where that more often, with the correct color scheme it looks so beautiful and this combination I really liked. Something I also like here is the length..They are shorter now and I must also cut them down even more tonight. *sad face* :(

For tomorrow I'll try schedule a post for the challenge "Where In The World" and USA is the country. See you then! :)

Pink and orange texture nail art

Yesterday me and my mother picked about 40 liters of red currant and today we spent 4 hours picking black currants, the amount was smaller today but there's still plenty. Later today we'll probably get on with the white currants, which is my favorite.. :D

For today I have a nail art I'm not that content about, this is suppose to be a gradient..as you can see it looks more like lines on the side.  ;) My normal way of making gradients didn't work but I'll probably try more texture gradients in the future. It looked fun though, pink and orange don't feel like colors normally paired together.

Balloon funky french/ balloon nail art

You might have seen this before since this was a competition contribution at LackyCorner, I did not win, but figured that I might as well show it here as well since I really liked it. Basically I'd like to call it "balloon funky french" even though it could be multiple things like candy or even fish scales.. I really like the bright colors together and it feels very much like a birthday party going on on the nails. I'll definitely remake this more times and in more combinations. :D Also, since it's Sunday, this fits perfectly to Lelack's Nail Art Sunday where more nail art can be found when the link list is completed.

Right and left hand. :)

Comparison between Jordana Pop Art and L.A. Colors Art Deco

Hi, today I'm comparing the black fine liners from Jordana Pop Art -Black Mark and L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black. Both of them is what I consider creme which is the best fine liner formula since it often covers like a one coater.

If you're interested in more comparison between fine liners I've earlier have made a huge comparison and swatch post including 25 bottles in this link;  Large fine liner/striper nail art polish swatch guide
I really recommend you to check it out if you're in the mood of getting your self some fine liners. :)

Jordana Pop Art -Black Mark
6 ML

Mixing ball - yes

L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black
7,5 ML
Mixing ball - no

As you can see from the picture comparing the brushes, L.A. Colors Art Deco might have a slightly thinner brush, at least it's equal thin all the way while Jordana Pop Art seems brush seems to be thicker on the non painting end of them. However I believe that the difference is not enough to make a larger difference. I'd also like to note that my Jordana Pop Art is much newer than the L.A. Colors Art Deco and the formula is a bit thinner. I always find fine liners to be too thin when they're newly bought, making the color less opaque. Often I let them open with the cap to make the formula slightly thicker, ie perfect. However I always keeps it in that "thickness" and thin it when it gets too thick, because making nail art is a precision thing, and both too thin or too thick easily ruins nail art. I prefer to thin mine with acetone since it's the cheapest and easiest.

My conclusion is that I find them equally good and I'd go for the one with the best price or is on the same site as other favorite polishes are at.

For a bonus I also wanted to show you  BK nail art color, picture above, which I've bought through ebay. I bought the white color and it's actually the best white fine liner I've used, mainly because it's a true one coater and I also like that the brush is fairly short. If painting this white on a black base, it stays white and doesn't go "off white" or look light gray or something like that. The short brush make small precision painting much easier. I like this white one better than both Jordana Pop Art's and L.A. Colors Art Deco's white creme fine liners. The downside of BK nail art color is that it's only 5ML and that the brush is slightly thicker than the other two, however it's very high precision.

Hope you nail art lovers (like Natalia who asked me about this) appreciates this post! :) If you have any questions, go ahead and ask!

Guest blogging at Ithinity Beauty

Hi! It's been a tiresome day today even though I got home yesterday from my trip. As I mentioned my trip was "work related" and everything went over expectations and now I just have to wait and see if things get even better. (better=money and general happiness) I've been working with some stuff today and it's now, at the evening, I have had the time to make this post.

Now to something nail related, which I guess is the main reason why you're here. ;) Today I've been guest blogging at Ithinity Beauty with a "double post" so if you like the nail art below you can find the full post and information >HERE< or by clicking the images.

I'd also like to recommend Ithi's blog in general, she makes so inspirational and unique nail art designs! And the fact that she also seems like the cutest girl ever doesn't make it worse ;)

Sure Promise glitter layering

Hi! I'm out traveling in Sweden on "work related" reasons, and now I'm about 800 kilometers from my home. I haven't really had the time to show anything nail related but remembered that I had an archive pic with a Sure Promise layering I did 3 years ago. My nails are so short to be me here! They are also not the shape I prefer. Yikes!

Anyhow, I'll get back on Thursday (with some newer manicures)! ;)

China Glaze - Of Coarse!, swatch

It's Monday and I managed to pull out another blue polish from the archive and the silly reason why I haven't showed it already was because I already thought that I had.. I searched my blog and evidently I must have dreamed of posting this... well, if you want to check out more blue polishes, go to Tove's blog, Nailme, later tonight.

As you can see Of Coarse! is part of China Glaze's Texture 2013 collection and is bright blue creme textured polish. As for the other in the same collection this is two easy coats and I think drying time is fairly acceptable. I like this and now I only have one more color to show you from this collection. :)

The only con about the texture polishes is that they do get dirty after a while, I rarely rub the upper side of my nails with a nail brush but with the textured polishes (all brands I got) I just feel that I have to, especially when I wear foundation because then I seem to get it on my nails..

Cats in love funky french nail art

It's Sunday and let's look at some nail art I did for some weeks ago. With some luck Lelack is back and in that case I'm joining Nail Art Sunday. :D

I'm actually more of a dog person than a cat person, but that doesn't stop me from doing a cat nail art, right? Basically we here have cats (in love), paws, and a funky french with a gradient of three colors. The original idea isn't mine, my boyfriend's dad suggested that I'd do this one because he found something similar to this on facebook. I changed the original some to make it more my style, however the cats didn't turn out as cool as I would have liked. I'd really like to redo this nail art some time.

The last picture is a bonus pic with my hand posing with a beautiful Turk's cap lily (Lilium martagon), (also called Krollilja in Sweden).
