China Glaze - Hello Gorgeous!, swatch

Today is the first post for the United In Pink theme made by Pamsan and Lackycorner where many bloggers will show pink during this week for breast cancer awareness. Just wearing a random pink polish doesn't really help, but spreading information will, and what really helps is to give money for further research, maybe directly to your country's pink ribbon/breast cancer campaign, other ways is to buy pins, jeweleries, nail polishes made especially for the campaign where a sum from the total cost is donated.

I only have one polish like this and that's from last year's campaign but I know that most big brands like China Glaze, Essie, OPI etc have new pink ribbon polish collections for this season. And of cause I'll start with the polish I got, which is China Glaze - Hello Gorgeous!

Hello Gorgeous! has a clear base and is filled with fine glitter in light pink but there's also silver like prismatic glitter, or holographic glitter in it and it looks amazing in the sun or in lamp light. Of cause the amazing glitter was hard to capture but I've tried doing my best. Despite there's no base color, this polish covers really well, and it was almost opaque after three coats and I think shorter nails can get away with it, I applied a forth coat and that's what you see in the pictures. I'm not a pink-lover but this polish is really beautiful and if you're a glitter/pink lover you'll definitely love this.

  1. Delicate and lovely my dear Gelic!!! It took me a while to start liking pinks but I seem to slowly slip into that color! This polish suits you wonderfully and I am sure when layered it might show its versatility beautifully <3

    1. Thanks! I'm not that into pink but now days I'm not as reluctant as before, there are some nice pink but there's many more awesome colors too.. Layering seems also like a good alternative that I must try some day! :)

    1. Yea, I know what you mean, some glitter can make it look very thick on the nail but I guess that the fine glitter really helps smoothing things out! :) And thanks! :)

  11. "Just wearing a random pink polish doesn't really help... etc."
    -thank you for this words...

I'm a bit mad 'coz of this internet compaign... 'coz many people like "oh, I'll put a <3 on my facebook page/paint my nails pink/put a ribbon on my page - I'm helping!"
ok. if you buy something with ribbon - and part of this money really went to people who is in trouble - than you helping.
I wont paint my nails pink, neither put something on my page. I has a relative with breast cancer - I'd better went and give a hand to her.

    1. Yea, I know what you mean and that's why I wanted to remind everyone about it! And I think that it's nice of you to help your relative, there are different kinds of helping concerning this matter and one is money/donation but as you say a big part is to be there for people close to us who has been through it... :)
