Zebra pattern french manicure

Good morning!
When you read this it's scheduled but I'm non the less awake but at school. Today is actually my first day in school since before Christmas. Well, I've been working with school related stuff during my holiday but still. I can only imagine how tired I will be tomorrow today getting up at 7 instead of 10-11..

Enough rambling.. on to nail art. A zebra funky french with a silver line.

If you look closely this is from when my nails where discolored, but naa..don't look that closely please.. ;)
Polishes used:
Gabrini Elegant (White)
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Silver

Checked sloping funky french in black, white and silver

Here's a nail art I really like. I love the color scheme; silver, black and white and some silver glitter. It also contains accent nails with stamping nail art. Sadly I was too quick to immortalize this look so there is no clean up! So shame on me and hope you can some how disregard that detail. :)

Polishes are:
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Silver
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Silver glitter
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black
China Glaze - Platinum Silver
Paris Memories (black)
(Konad nail polish - white) for stamping.

And furthermore, do you have any opinion about bottle pictures used in a manicure like in this post? Does it help/give something or doesn't it matter? Now I have a lot of archive manicure where I don't have bottle pictures but I could try to capture them in the future if there's some interest for it. :)

Comparison between base color in zebra nail art designs

So, here's the comparison between a black base and white lines zebra nail art and a white base and black lines zebra nail art.

The light condition is different in them but you get the picture. I think that the difference is hardly noticeable, one time I alternated the base color from finger to finger but can't find it now, but not even then it was a big difference. I guess if there is a bigger distance between the zebra lines than what I have done it might show.

I think that the advantage with a black base could be that it could be done faster. White polishes tend to need 3-4 coats and black ones 1-2 coats (in my point of view); minimizing the drying time and work load ;). Sadly I've lost my fabulous L.A. Colors Art Deco - white somewhere but I'll buy a new one for sure! :)

Black and white Zebra pattern sloping funky french 2

I like making Zebra pattern! They are quit simple when you get into it and can maintain a steady hand. This one is very similar to one I've had before, which I posted in this post. The polishes are almost the same, China Glaze -White out for the base, L.A. Colors Art Deco -black, L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver and L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver glitter.

The pictures are about one year old, but you can clearly see the discoloration on my nails. Nowdays I allways use base polish. :(

Note that this one has a white base and the stripes are black. It will come up a comparison post soon for the true nail polish/nail art nerd (like me).

Black and white zebra pattern sloping funky french

This is one nail art I really like, zebra pattern! I have a sloping funky french on all nails except my left ring finger where I putted the zebra print on the whole nail.

 Above is my left hand.
  Above is my right hand.

I also made a small silver glitter line at the very tip of the "smiley" of the nail since all of the other nails had some silver on them.
And the matching zebra pattern pumps to go with it. Lovely! :)
The polishes used: The black base is Paris memories. The white zebra lines are L.A. Colors Art Deco - white. For the silver glitter I used two polishes, first L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver and afterwards L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver glitter on top of the silver lines.
