Black and white zebra nail art in matte

Today I have a #twinmani or #maniswap to show which I've done with instagrammer @nailartalexm.

I really loved her matte b&w zebra mani. I really liked that the zebra nails where framed too. This mani just combines all of my things I like best in a mani right now. Hope you'll like it and please go and say hi to @nailartalexm. :)

Metallic zebra nail art

These are some nails I did some while back. A sea foam toned metallic silver color and then regular silver stripes on top. The result was some what subtle but still cool.

Tiger funky french nail art

Hi, sorry for the late post. In this post I'm joining two challenges, the the 31 day nail challenge and the Where-In-The-World Challenge. In the WITW-challenge I'm at country no. 19 which is Korea, which has the tiger as their national animal. And since orange is the prompt of the 31dnc I thought it was a good choice to match them.

I made a quite simple nail art with a neon orange base (which for some reason was really hard to photograph accurate but after a while I managed..) and then I added tiger stripes at the smiley of the nail. When I was done with that I felt that something was missing so I added a clar 2MM crystal rhinestone on each nail. I'm very happy with this and I'm looking forward to do it more times and in more colors. It also made my nails look insanely long! Hope you like it too. :)

Green zebra with striping tape

You haven't missed that this month also means Depression Awareness Month? And that we are a bunch of people talking about depression and showing green polishes? And that the initiator of this "United in Green" is Karin at Vacker&Underbar?

Today is the forth green day and I've written a lot of things concerning depression and I'll try to keep it shorter today. I've read that statistics shows that wealthier countries has a higher rate of depressed inhabitants than those in midde- to low-class countries. (if it's possible to give a whole country just one label) Are rich people more often depressed or is it because rich people have a bigger opportunity to actually search for help? When speaking about middle and low class countries it's often also combined with perhaps lower education, less capability to read and information flow and research about depression is perhaps lower? Here in Sweden health care is free, but how is it in other countries, is it free for everyone no matter the age to search for help? Does "rich people" have more time to "feel" how they actually feel? Depending on religion and culture, is it more legit to feel down in some countries and more taboo in other? I'm not saying that anything is in a certain way, I would just like to hear if you got any thoughts and/or experiences about this?

Here I have a nail art that I'm not that content about. I had been wearing Ninja Polish - Sunny Floam (click the link for full review) for a while and somehow I spilled acetone over nail art striping tape. I knew that when it dried the glue in the tape would be useless so I decided to just try wrap it around my nails randomly to at least see if the result would be cool. It looks a bit graphical and perhaps a bit zebra stripes like. Wish I had more tape so I could have done it to all nails but this is what I had.

Swedish yellow and blue tiger nail art

One challenge is down, one more to go. I started with the Where in the world-challenge in January this year and my goal is to finish it before the new year. Since the 31 day challenge worked fine I'm sure I'll manage with this even though I'd say that it's harder to come up with ideas for this challenge.

Anyhow country no. 8 is my home country; Sweden and I decided to do the Swedish tiger. Of cause this is not an animal because there's no wild tigers in Sweden. It's actually a symbol used i Sweden during world war 2, mainly a reminder not to speak about military things during that time. The reason why this symbol (or the tiger to be correct) is funny is that it has a double interpretation in the Swedish language. "Tiger" could both be the animal and to keep silent, which was important during those times. I also just read on wikipedia that an English phrase with the same meaning was "loose lips sink ships".

That's the background story of that. Anyhow, my main idea was the the yellow and the blue would look cool with tiger -, or well, zebra stripes and here's my yellow and blue tiger nails;

They say it's Friday today and that means Holo Friday at Skimmerskuggan, where you'll find links with more holo posts later today. :)

Sloping funky french with zebra stripes

Today I'm showing zebra stripes again. It's the print I'm always making when I'm out of fantasy, this will be zebra nail combination nr. 15, apparently according to my labels. These nails are archive nails, must empty my archive but I have so much new funnier things that I want to show too. ;) Any how, this time I've used a black base and white stripes instead of my regular white base and black stripes. I quite like the result.

Zebra stripes fading into gradient nail art in white and green

Sunday and that means Nail Art Sunday at Lelack where you later today can find a link list with a lot of bloggers who've made nail art's. The theme this week was free so I've cheated some and I'm showing an archive nail art from last summer. ;)

First I painted a white base and then made a green gradient. After that I made white zebra stripes making them fade in to the background. Maybe the green gradient shouldn't have been so high and then the zebra stripes would have faded in better.
No matter what, I'm really content with this nail art. :) I really love zebra stripes..haha

Holo top coat over leopard and zebra nail art

I almost forgot, I  promised you to show you something more holo-like today and here it comes.

For some time ago I showed you this nail art and after some days I wanted to revive it with some "holo top coat". I actually like this better without holo but I thought I could show it to you anyhow.

One coat.

Two coats.

Two coats.
The original.
The holo top coat isn't a real holo top coat, it's Catherine Arley - 667, a very light gray holo. But since it so thin one coat just gives a holo spark to colors, here two maybe was too much.

As I said I preferred the original better this time but it's always fun experiment. :)
