Here's my second manicure for the Nail Challenge Collaborative theme this month. We're recreating member designs and I really liked a Leopard manicure which Druid Nails did a while back and decided to give em' a try. I like her version better, maybe my leo spots are too small? Or maybe the "rounded shape" the spots creates on the blue, is too rounded? Also she did her thumb and pinkie with full leo, I didn't. Sadly the holographic silver glitter, didn't look holographic/prismatic in these pictures, so you'll have to imagine.. ;) And as you understand I hurried up fixing this one done for today, it's blue and suitable for Blue Monday! :)
Polishes used:
Rival De Loop - 406, (swatch)
Nicole by OPI - Make A Comet-Ment
Essence - Let's Get Lost

Pretty and Polished - Boy Bleu, swatch
Monday and I'm able to come up with something at least some what blue. I bought this polish from Pretty & Polished for awhile ago and it's called Boy Bleu. It's blue opaque glitter and black opaque glitter in different sizes. There's also some occasional very large silver hexagons in it and all the glitter is in a clear base.
I don't know if this counts in Lindas Nailorama's Blue Monday theme, we'll see ;) Anyhow, more blue polishes can be found at her blog in a link list later to night.
Below you see Boy Bleu without any colored base which was a fail since it never seemed to get opaque. I used something between 4-5 coats and it just got thicker and thicker and didn't cover so well. I actually bought this because I thought it would cover on it's own like one of my favorites Ninja Polish - Humble Bee which is yellow and black glitter in a clear base. I've also seen Boy Bleu in a manicure where it was on it's own and covered, so either that was 10 coats or the polish has been reformulated with less glitter. And while I'm at it, I don't like the large silver hex glitter, there's too few to make any difference, they're just in the way.
I made a new try an this time I layered it over a white creme base with three coats and this time I liked it better. The blue glitter is very bright and almost neon in my opinion. I've also tried this with other bases and really likes it.
I recommend Boy Bleu but I think it's important to see that it's only a layering polish so you wont get disappointed (like me).
Polishes used:
HM - In It For The Game (white)
Pretty & Polished - Boy Bleu
Do you got this polish or the pink variant of it and has is covered on it's own for you?

I'm back from my little blog pause and I'll start up simple.
For today I have an simple archive nail art in silver, black and blue. When I think about it, it feels a bit winter like. However here all snow is gone and the sun is almost shining with 6 degrees +C.
Polishes used:
