Born Pretty Store Christmas and winter charms nail art

Here I have one of my Christmas nail art to show. A simple but beautiful december suiting nail art. For accents I used my Born Pretty Store Charms and a snow flake glitter polish for the rest.

The Born Pretty Store charms come in 10 pieces with Christmas/Winter/December suiting symbols, like christmas tree, snowflake, candle, santa, snowman etc. ^^ The size of them varies but they are quite big and chunky so they suit best for longer/bigger sized nails. The back of them are curved length wise to better fit the nails. I used super nail glue and they lasted for three days. :)

Silver snow flake glitter on a black base

Time for a little product review for Born Pretty Store. This time I'll show you flat snow flake glitter in silver. I estimate the size to be about 5 MM and a good thing is that the glitter i soft and also curved. At first I was like "oh no, they are curved", but soon I went to "oh yes, they are curved!:D" which means that they lay perfectly flat on the nail, since the glitter is following the nail shape! I used a dotting tool to pick them upp and pressed them down in the wet base. After I had placed them I dotted down the "arms" of the snowflake to make sure it lay down perfectly flat. Then I finished of with 2 coats of top coat for a smooth surface.

This time I decided for a dark manicure, a black creme base to really show off the silver glitter. I also think that black and silver is an awesome color combo. I decided to make all nails the same and I think the result looks quite elegant. I can definitely recommend this glitter.  Hope you'll enjoy this design. :)

The glitter comes in this huge jar so there is plenty of glitter making this a good buy. Here you can also see what I meant with curved glitter, perfect since our nails are naturally curved.

Born Pretty Store always has free world wide shipping and if you're interested in purchasing you can always use my code NGL91 which gives you 10% discount on this and/or all products at BPS. Original price is $3.73 but with discount ~$3,36. Here's the direct link: Snow Shiny Tiny Glitter Powder Sheets Tips Nail Decoration

Tinsel & ornament nail art

The Winter nail art challenge is starting to come to an end, but before that we have 3 themes left. Today it is tinsel/ornaments, I decided to get some general inspiration from that and created something glittery and cute, in white, black and gold. So first up a gradient in black and white and then matte white glitter and gold glitter on top (think that it's snowing;)) I also applied 2 metallic teddy bears. Before I added them I bent them to fit my nails better, attached them while the polish was sticky and then tc'd them smooth. Maybe the whole thing is a bit too much, but then again Christmas ornaments have a tendency of being "too much" quite often.. :) Enjoy!

Well, here you see the teddy bears slightly better. :)

Graphical Christmas tree in black and gold

Time for the 5th theme in the Winter nail art challenge, which is Christmas tree's. Personally the trees are a bit too early for me, in my family a (real) tree is cut down the 22-23rd and gets in the house the 24th, at the earliest 23rd. Basically I wanted to make a nail art which could both fit the theme but not necessarily be super classical. I wanted something more graphical and yea, black + gold +matte are always nice together. Also feels like the Star shaped metal stud rhinestone became like the cherry on top. ^^ Hope you'll like it :)

Ginger cookie cartoon nail art

Third theme for WinterNAC is Christmas candy. There's so many candies around Christmas but my choice fell on ginger cookies. Cookies ARE candies too. ;) I decided to make a version on Cartoon nails, but with white frosting as an outline and button dots. Being in Germany and not having all my polishes was of course a bit annoying, because I didn't feel that I had an appropriate "ginger cookie color" so I basically layered some different ones (brown and orange) and made it matte of course. Think it came out kinda cool. :)

I like ginger cookies, but I guess my favorite candy is chocolate (like all year around), do you have a favorite christmas candy? And have you tasted the kind of cookie below? :)

Above is kinda what I thought about when I made my nail art. (Oh in the source link there is also a recipe ;) hehe)
