31DC2013 Day 20; Watermarble with gradient

Day 20 and I was too tired yesterday to schedule to day's post which is about water marble. And as usual in this challenge I wanted to challenge my self and create something I yet haven't done, one of those things was a water marble with a see-through polish and black on a gradient base nail. Said and done and so I did. I used a pink and a blue polish and I was happy to see that they mixed so well that the middle section of the gradient turned purple! (love when it happens) Later I started with my water marble, I had to test some polishes before I found the perfect transparent one, many sheer polishes seems to dry very quickly. I found one and I very happy how this turned out!

Polishes used:
China Glaze - Hanging In The Balance
China Glaze - Love's A Beach
Kleancolor - Metallic White
Nordic Cap - NP12

    1. Tack! Haha, ja nu när du säger det så. Önskade mig en lavalampa när jag var liten men fick aldrig, just när de kom var de så dyra! När de sjukit i pris var samtidigt som marknades mättades och då hade jag siktet inställt på annat i stället.

    1. Thank's Sorry for being unclear, the polish I used is listed in my "polishes used;" section in the bottom of each post, however I didn't clearly state it was the transperent one. To answer your question; the polish I marbled with was Kleancolor - Metallic white (which actually look transperant when marbeling). It can be found on ebay and beautyjoint for example. The black I used is a regular creme black. :D

    2. yeah, I didn't understand that metallic in your list looks so transparent on the photo =)
thanks. I'm gonna try metallic in marbling too =)

    3. Oh never mind! Make sure the metallic you use is really sheer. The one I used never gets opaque, not even after 5 coats! So look for something like that! :D I guess anything really sheer would work, like a shimmer or jelly.

    4. well... I don't have many polishes like that (I'm not into trasparent polishes... it's like a waste of time for me - I prefer those that can do best with 2 coats)... and the one I used wasn't trasparent enough... I'll post in later...

    6. I normally don't like polishes that are too sheer either but some time I buy them by mistake. Some of them are good for french manicures too.. :D

Haha.. lol.. I do have comment approval on OLD posts.. Stupid blogger otherwise wont inform me that I get comments on those older posts... :( Before I'd get email when getting comments buy no more. On my new post I don't have comment approval, then I just keep track by checking the posts regularly.

  6. Otroligt snyggt!
