Here's some wedding cake/wedding dress inspired nails I did for an IG challenge, but also my first Nail Challenge Collaborative this month with the theme; A new beginning. Loved this combo of white and holo and the chunky pearl accent. This is something I could consider doing again some time.

Red flower nail art on pastel pink base

Here's one of my "signature flower" nail art. I combined 2 IG challenges which was pastel and red flowers. I liked the whole thing, and then I used the Viva La Diva matte top coat...which make me hate every mani I've applied it on so far. The VLD matte tc basically makes it semi matte, I really prefer super matte or shiny, not semi-matte/semi-shiny. Oh well, Showing this one anyhow. :)

Promarker heart nail art

Here I've freehanded some hearts and filled them in with marker pens. I need to purchase some alcohol so I can blend them better. I still liked the result here. :) This is for an instagram challenge and is as you can guess, valentine inspired.

Negative space heart nail art with Essence nail art satin matt top coat

Today I'm showing the matte version of my Stamped negative space heart nail art which I showed you three weeks ago. For more info about the actual nail art you can check out the original post and let's check out Essence nail art satin matt top coat further. And yes, "matt" isn't a typo, I guess it's because it's sold i Germany. As all matte top coats it dulls the black quite much and the "matteness" stays matte and don't  feel shiny the next day. It dries considerably slower than most matte polishes and if you apply shiny top coat on top later(like dots to create a cool nail art effect) it still look dull and almost dirty. Therefore this only works for full matte nails, so next time I'll go to Claire's and pick up another of their matte tc's. Basically this works, but it's not my favorite matte of all the ones I've tried.

Oriental romantic nail art

This is the actual nail art I did for Valentine's day this year. I wanted something with romantic symbols like hearts and roses but some cool colors. After some thinking I ended up with a bright gradient in orange, pink and purple, combined with matte pink glitter, freehanded roses in black, metal stud rhinestones (painted) in black and metal studs rhinestones. I also did like a high french with bows on my thumbs. I really liked this nail art and also submitted it to a nail art contest, which is the main reason why I haven't posted it before. (Out of ~30 submissions I ended up somewhere in the middle). Hope you'll like it.

I'm usually never fast with the challenges in the Nail Challenge Collaborative; it is one theme, four manicures which can be published any time during the month. Usually I do one NCC-mani/week but post them in the end (because I'm too lazy/occupied to do it asap). However this month I'm fast, and that correlates to why I was "late" last month. The theme of March is inspired by fashion and I couldn't hold my self, so did this one as soon as I knew the theme. XD

I was inspired by this dress:

And I was so hyped on trying my first negative space nail art (which if you haven't noticed are/will be the nail art trend of 2015). Said and done I freehanded hearts, I outlined them with a fine liner brush and then filled in "the blanks" creating the negative space hearts. It looked okay but I wanted some "lace" too, sadly my collection of full image stampings are a bit sparse and I didn't find something thin but still "lace like", so I ended up with these swirls. Still like it though. Trying to figure out if my nails looks discolored or not on the photos, I didn't find them that irl at least. Oh, the only downside with this is that "the apex" of the nail had so few coats so I was worried that I'd break them but luckily I didn't. Soo.. what do you think?! :)

Valentine needle dragging hearts

Happy Valentine's day! Today I have another Valentine nail art to show. It's not the one I'm wearing today (that one I can't show yet because its part of a competition) but it's one I had on earlier. I decided for glittery red hearts on a gray base. And as usually I went for a technique I find simple, which is needle dragging. I used an actual needle for this (usually I often use a dotting tool with a fine end) and I think it's an advantage using a needle when making tiny hearts like this. I did three-in-a-row on all fingers except my accent's where I made some random hearts and I also did a small stamping on one of my nails. What do you think?
