Sailor water decal nail art with Nicole Diary

Today I have a fresh review to share with you! Nicole Diary contacted me recently and has let me try out some of their water decals. First out is this summery set of sailor inspired water decals called 39. :)

You can find the Nicole Diary shop below;
HERE on Aliexpress &
HERE on Amazon

And make sure to use my coupon code Ge2016 which will get you a free gift with your order worth $2-$5! Shipping is worldwide and you can follow them here on instagram.

The decals come in one paper with a set of 10, When looking at the pattern it is possible to see cut lines for the scissor to simplify the size you need. My nails are both wide and long and I had no problem fitting my nails to it. I cut out the pieces and removed the protective plastic (this is important, if you forget, the decal will glue itself to the plastic and end up useless) and let it become fully wet by the water. I used a small plate and had less then 0,5 cm of water in it, after I pick the pieces up with a tweezer and placed them on my fully dry pre-painted nails. Since these water decals are clear I decided to use white as a base. The decals are possible to rearrange some after placement and also possible to stretch a bit and even out the pattern on the nail (as my nails are curved I need to make sure the pattern sits flat allover). It was easy to remove the pieces outside on my cuticle with acetone and a q-tip. After the decals had dried I put on top coat. I've previously had problem with Seche Vite smudging my water decals but these didn't seem to have problem with this.. As an accent here I used some Essence stickers I got on sale when I lived in Germany.

Now picture spam, hope you'll like! :)

L.A Girl - Splat, swatch and layering

Oh, my blog routine are all over the place, it's like if I got all the time in the world and therefore don't have any time at all. I'm trying to organize my portfolio so I can get an internship or job here and I guess that my mind is occupied with that.

Anyhow, some nails to enjoy. I think that L.A. Girl released their Splatter Collection in 2013 containing white glitter + different colors in clear bases. One of the bottles I bought was Splat which has matte red hexes in three sizes and matte white hexes in two sizes, in a clear base as said. Think I used one coat on top of Blue My Mind (which I adore), all the red glitter on my pointer is coincidence btw. What do you think about this combo in red, white, blue?

Fleur de lis nail art

Fleur de lis is french and is that french lily symbol you've probably seen before. I decided to freehand it six months ago and since that it has been lying in the publish folder feeling ashamed, ashamed because it didn't end up like I wanted, at all. Mainly the colors is the biggest problem I think, I don't know.. but it's blue and fit Blue Monday. Enjoy.

Christmas nail art

Hi, hope you all have had a nice Christmas and are continuing having a nice time off. I'm still having a cold but today I've been able to a really relaxed day and maybe I'll take a nap before dinner ;) Nice ha? So a short and quick post today. I guess most of you anyhow are doing other stuff.

Today I'm showing No. 5 in LovingCosmetic's Christmas Challenge which is Santa Claus. I decided to make something simple and graphical again and went with Santa Claus hat decorated with rhinestones. On the rest of my nails i did "snow", or in other words a white glitter gradient. The "hats" are made with striping tape to get the precision. Hope you like it. :)

Abstract American nail art

Today I'm showing the 6th country in the Where In The World Challenge and the country is USA. I had a hard time coming up with a cool idea, USA is so large (so many things to make fun nail art of) and when I did this for some months ago 4th of july had just passed and then I did a USA water marble. This time I went for abstract again and used the needle technique (needle dragging nail art) to create patterns in red, blue and white.

I started with red, blue and a jelly white since I thought it could look almost like a funky french. I made these images small but they're are as usual clickable if you want to take a closer look.

However, After a while I felt like something was missing and added a white glitter polish on top and I think it came together even better than before!

Hope you liked this!

4th of July nail art design number 2 of the day!

Since I wasn't happy with the one I made yesterday I made a new one today. Well, didn't end up being content with this one either. I had the same idea as yesterday but made it with nail polish and rhinestones.

The red and blue are Kleancolor. Metallic sapphire and Metallic red. The white is Sure Promise. I really liked the stripes, but didn't end up keeping it.

4th of july nail art design

Since it is 4th of july (still), I thought it would be appropriate with a nail design to go with it. I looked at a lot of inspiration and came up with an idea. Realized that I couldn't really do it since I didn't have all the colors for it at the place that I'm living in right now (they are still at my old apartment). Yesterday I therefor started playing with acrylic paint and a really thin brush.

And here it is. I really liked the idea, but I thought that the execution was a bit messy. I wished for a nice nail art design for the stars and stripes but felt that it didn't live up to my expectations. I didn't clean up my cuticles or putted on top coat. I ended up just washing my hands in hot water, but took this picture before.
