NCC presents: Circle pattern french manicure

Since the end of the month is cutting closer I decided to show the last out of the four dot manicures, which has been the theme for this month's Nail Challenge Collaborative. This time I have some circle stamping pattern, some pink flowers, also added some pink dots after a while (shall we say that the circles are dots too btw?!). Not sure about the pink dots, will post this without the pink someday, I actually like that better. Adding stuff isn't always the best thing. As it's holiday I almost forgot that it's Sunday, because that means that this also is my contribution for Nail Art Sunday, where the theme is free.

Basically I've used a nude jelly as a base and then I've stamped the pattern in white (two times on each nails because my nails was longer than the pattern) and pink with MoYou's special nail polish and MoYou's image plates. The result feels quite delicate and simple but still nice. :)

Polishes and materials used:
Sally Hansen - Sweet Tulip
MoYou Special Nail Polish (pink)
MoYou Special Nail Polish (white)
MoYou Image Plate 08
MoYou Image Plate N11

If you buy a nail art set, any of you choice, you can pick one polish OR one image plate of your choice if you use the code CEL246. Which polish or the number of the image plate you want, you write at the comment section at the checkout. You can use the code as many times you want, as long as you buy a nail art set. :D

Heart filled french manicure

For today I have a cute nail art to show you even though I think the original was better with it's red hearts, instead of mine in pastel pink and pastel blue. Or I should have filled them in but still kinda cute.

If you got some Valentine inspired nail art OR polish you're welcome to join mine and Traces Of Polish theme week; Valentine Polish Week.

Side-flower french manicure 2

A girl on facebook wanted me to post a tutorial of my side-flower french manicure and I'm now prepping for that tutorial post as we speak. I did it pretty much the same as the last time except that I used dark blue rhinestones and I also noticed that my nails are shorter this time. Of course it felt like I had the shakiest hand ever when I did this, combined with thick polish but considering that I think it look great. :) Hope you like it too and stay "tuned" for the tutorial. :)

Arrow rhinestone french mani

It's Nail Art Sunday with the not surprising theme "Christmas" ;) For me this upcoming Christmas is different, I'm working and the rain is pouring down right now. Usually I'm not working and usually there is lots of snow outside this time of the year. My new job changed a lot, my bf and I where planning to visit my parents in mid December and then I also planned bringing my Christmas decoration to the apartment, which never happened because I got this job and therefore there isn't a single thing in the apartment reminding me about Christmas, except my nails I guess. But I don't mind, it's not that important, we wont be home during Christmas anyhow.

What I'm showing today is a white and red nail art which is really simple in one hand but still very festive. It's a french manicure but with a high arrow like smiley and each "smiley" I've decorated with red rhinestones and on the accent nails I've added extra rhinestones and I guess we can imagine it to be some sort of Christmas ornament, right? I really liked this and hope you do too. :)

Old archive nails: Sloping french mani with flowers

Today I'm continuing to show old archive manicures, I wrote more about this in the Monday post. And today I have something seriously old to show you; one of my oldest photographed nail art's ever. This is from March 2010, which is about three and a half years ago. My nails where shorter than now but I actually already knew some tricks of making them look longer, here with the asymmetrical french manicure. This was also one of my first tries with the dotted flowers, not too bad! :D

It's a long time ago but polishes used are:
China Glaze - White Out
Kubiss (the blue/purple)
Wet n Wild (base shimmer)
1 MM pink rhinestones

Side-flower french manicure

It's Sunday and Lelack's Nail Art Sunday theme is free. So this weekend I want to show you a nail art I did about two weeks ago. It's a french manicure embellished with thin flowers and red rhinestones. I'm really content over the result, I especially like the thin flowers. I also miss the length of my nails, I cut them down after this manicure and they haven't returned to the length I feel most comfortable in yet.

Zebra pattern french manicure

Good morning!
When you read this it's scheduled but I'm non the less awake but at school. Today is actually my first day in school since before Christmas. Well, I've been working with school related stuff during my holiday but still. I can only imagine how tired I will be tomorrow today getting up at 7 instead of 10-11..

Enough rambling.. on to nail art. A zebra funky french with a silver line.

If you look closely this is from when my nails where discolored, but naa..don't look that closely please.. ;)

Classical New Year's nail art

For this Nail Art Sunday (the last one this year!) I'll show you a New Years nail art, however I think that it would work all year around. It's very classical and in my eyes very beautiful. Sadly I can't take credit for the design, I saw something similar for some years ago and this is my interpretation. Enjoy!

Holo and holo glitter with the rainbows.

Something I'll change till next time is to either use 1MM rhinestones instead of 2MM's or having just three rhinestones in a row, in stead of four. I think that it will look better then. Another thing worth mentioning is that after I'd done the french manicure I added the silver holo as a base, I then added the large silver glitter. I did this so that I could use less coats of the glitter making so it wouldn't get too thick.

Polishes used:
China Glaze - Sensuous (base color)
Kleancolor - White
Jordana Pop Art - White
Color Club - Harp on it (silver holo)
Paris Memories (large glitter holo in a clear base)
2MM rhinestones

Light a candle

For Lela's Nail Art Sunday  with pre-determined themes.

To day's theme was a Swedish Christmas song called "Tänd ett ljus" =Light a candle.

Then I come up with this idea, a french manicure forming a candle. Not the best idea, but I honestly made 4-5 other nail arts for this Sunday. And they sucked more than this one.

Polishes used:
Kleancolor - White
Sure Promise (light blue for the candle)
Jordana Pop Art - Black

Kleancolor - Metallic Yellow
Kleancolor - Metallic Orange
Kleancolor - Holo Yellow

French manicure in white and silver

Hi!
I want to show some season appropriate nail arts but I don't think I got many enough to keep it up till Christmas and I don't know if I got the time to produce them either. Will see and I'll start up with something simple. A french manicure with a thin silver line. It's classical and simple, and I like it.

What I don't like is the discoloration showing on my nails, on their way to grow out but still. I can't understand why I ever could paint my nails before without base coat. Now I always use base coat and if I'm for some reason is out I use a clear/colorless shimmer polish as a stand-in-base-coat.

Salt n Pepper funky french

For today I have my, I guess, top five favorite nail polish of the moment. I can't explain it but I'm silly and childishly fond of this milky polish filled with black matte glitter. This is also a lovely way of wearing it, nail art but in a very simple manner. I only wish that I would have had made sharper black lines.
Shadow outdoors.
Sunlight outdoors.
 And a somewhat close up:

It seems to be very sheer at first glance but it actually isn't. I used two coats to make it cover and no VNL in sight. However the second coat still reveal the underlaying matte black glitter making it feel a bit jelly-sandwich'y. Maybe that's what the base is, jelly, or crelly since it cover so easy? Or definitely milky, a milky finish.. haha :)

Polishes used:
W7 Nail Polish - Salt n Pepper
Jordana Pop Art - Black

So what do you think about it? ;P Any thoughts?

Classical french manicure with yellow rhinestones

At my blog I almost always tend to show nail art every day, despite that, I participate in Lelack's Nail Art Sunday. And from now on my Sundays will be funnier since we will have nail art sundays with predetermined themes. The theme of this Sunday is "Fransk Manikyr" or French Manicure in English.

This is my contribution:
A french manicure is always white, if it isn't white, it's a funky french so for this manicure I was strict and went with white tips and to spice it up I used yellow crystal rhinestones. I placed a 3MM rhinestone in the middle of all nails and used 1MM rhinestones filling up the rest of the tip line, almost making a small necklace out of it.

Honestly yellow rhinestones aren't my favorite, and I think this is the first time ever (!) I've used them. I got them since I always order like 10 colors of rhinestones and then I get yellow ones as well even though I don't want them. But I don't mind since it's cheaper that way.

This was as I already have said a bit unusual for me, very classical and no extreme colors.

Polishes used:
Kleancolor - White
W7 - Pink Opal (with blue pearl shimmer)
3MM rhinestones in yellow
1MM rhinestones in yellow
