Parrot needle dragging nail art

Today I figured that I'll show you country no 20 in the WITW-challenge which is Colombia! I actually did this nail art November last year, before country no 19.. But now I have them in order so I'll hopefully will get them all out quite soon :D

Colombia's national animal is parrot so my choice was easy. I decided to do a needle dragging nail art with the colors and then use an accent nail. I loved this nail art, especially the non-accent nails and I must recreate this in other colors soon. Hope you'll enjoy! :)

*picture spam will follow, just because both hands looks so stunning*

Black and white glitter gradient

Pretty stoked I realized that I had two black and white manicures in the archive and I decided to take one of them for this Nail Art Sunday at Lelack where the per-determined theme was black & white. I love B&W nail art's and I'm looking forward to see what everyone has come up with.

My nail art below is pretty simple. Just some dabbing with glitter, trying to create a gradient. I've also used some loose hex glitter and tried placing them random enough to fit the gradient. As you see I have two accent nails which are color inverted, looked pretty cool to me. :)

And the reason why I use archive today, of all the days of the week, the weekend is (always) the time when I have the least time for anything blog- and nail related.  How is it for you? Is it some days you have more or less time to do nail related things; painting, blogging, reading blogs, comments etc? Or do you just take the time to do what you want no matter what?

31DC2013 Day 23; A Clockwork Orange nail art

Day 23 in this challenge and I feel that even though I really like this challenge it take's a lot of time. Especially since I really like it, it's easy to procrastinate away more important things, which I actually have to do. My basic problem is that I say to my self that "I'm just going to read my blog/paint my nails/blog reading... and after that I'll get into my have-to-stuff". The problem is that I never get to the part where I do the have-to-stuff, so now I'm behind so therefore I've decided to do the opposite, which I should have done in the first place..doh. You'll probably wont notice any difference anyhow, I'll schedule my posts as before but I wont get into the "fun part" until I'm done with the important stuff.

Anyhow, the reason you got here; naaaails. Day 23 is inspired by a movie and my movie of choice is A Clockwork Orange which is also produced and directed by my favorite director; Stanley Kubrick. The nail art it self is quite simple but I really liked it and hope you'll like it too. Right below you can see the inspiration image I used for this nail art.

Pink funky french with green glitter

Today it's Thursday and I've picked something pink from the archive to match Princessemmas Pink Thursday. I'm getting a bit fed up with my archive though, I think my nails are more beautiful now and I also take better photos of my nails now. But the thing getting me feel most fed up is not having a job, but I'll try make something positive about it and get things done at home and just keep on searching.

For this manicue I've basically made a pink funky french and then painted clear polish to glue my green loose glitter on.
I wish you could see how beautiful the loose glitter actually is, one my thumb above you'll get a hint of the color spectra.
And look how cleverly I matched my nails with my earring ;)

Yellow glitter funky french with black star rhinestones

Hi! I'm going on with my little easter theme this week. I tried googeling why the easter is suppose to be yellow but couldn't find a reason good enough but anyhow, here I have a yellow and black nail art. And as you can see of the length and shape of my nails, this is archive nails!

Basically I've made a yellow base and then applied loose yellow glitter on top of the yellow. And on top of that I've placed three black opaque star rhinestones on each nail.
This looked way better irl since the yellow loose glitter changed color from pink to green to yellow. But you can imagine, right? ;)

Cute bows stamped on burgundy background

Hi!
For this Nail Art Sunday I have a very simple nail art and a budget brand polish to show. (Lela is away but Nail Art Sunday is still on!) This is something I made when I was at my parents house borrowing my mum's stash of nail polishes. :)

First I used this ZTIZ nail polish and as you can see from the price tag, it's really cheap, 10 SEK, which is almost £1. It's bought here in Sweden at Dollarstore.
As you can see from the pictures it's a dark brown/wine red shimmer polish. Isn't called burgundy too? This one covered in just one coat but I have two coats on the pictures just to see if the color would intense and to make it thicker, my nails are thin and I can't walk around with just one coat on my nails. :)
The color it self is definitely not unique, I have one from Isadora and one from Paris Memories which look like this, my mum also had one from Color Club and some other budget brands which was similar to this one as well. But I do like this color.
And as for the nail art, I stamped the bows and afterwards I placed 1MM flat loose copper glitter in the center of the bows.
Have you noticed another thing? The bottle is exactly the same as the ones Kleancolor uses. I also thought that it smelled like the Kleancolor polishes smells like. I'm suspecting maybe there is a Kleancolor dupe of this too.. ;)
The backside of the polish says that it's called 67. However this marking reminds me of the tags some fake OPI's got.
Here you see the image plate I used for the bows. It's from Konad and is number m3.

Stuff used:
ZTIZ nail polish - 67
Konad nail polish - White

Nail art in black, white and red

Hi! Here I actually have a really old nail art to show, this one I actually wore on Christmas for two years ago (is that even okay for Lela's nail art Sunday!?). Not a very typical Christmas nail art, but I guess it some how matched my dress? Maybe, I can't remember! ;D Anyhow, fun to show since Christmas is coming up!
As you can see it's a very busy nail art many types of rhinestones, Red flower rhinestones on my thumbs, large flower pearl rhinestone on my ring fingers combined with a lot of 1MM red rhinestones and a variety of pearl rhinestones from 1MM-3MM. I also have flat loose glitter, placed one by one in the colors black, red and iridescent translucent white.
Right hand.
I apologize that the pictures are a bit out of focus and I also think I photoed this the day after and some loose glitter had fell of due to too little top coat.

Abstract Halloween 3D pumpkin nail art

For to day I have an abstract Halloween 3D pumpkin nail art. Fancy spiders webs are cool but takes a lo of time to make and sometime at least I want to keep it simple and abstract. Like a free interpretation of Halloween, without out loosing the meaning of it. However this is not for the simple minded, I guess you'll get  lot of attention if you would were this. ;)

As you can see I've started off with a orange base and then sponged black polish over the upper part of the nail. It is not a real gradient meaning that the black and orange merge together in the middle. For this I wanted the black to be like a grimy dust over the orange. To get this effect I waited until the orange was completely dry so they wouldn't be mixed together.

I know that they are sticking up a lot but I think it's cool. I use a special nail glue to make them stick. Polish is not strong enough for this larger kinds of rhinestones.

Below is both hands. As you can see I've alternated the accent nails. On my left hand it's the thumb and on my right hand it's the ring finger.
To get my 3D pumpkins I've used regular white pearl rhinestones and after I'd applied them I painted them orange. In the jar below you can also see the glitter I used for my accent nails.

Polishes are:
Kleancolor - Mango
Kleancolor - Black
Paris Memories (orange shimmer)
Pearl rhinestones à 5MM
Flat rhinestones à 3MM (loose glitter)
Flat rhinestones à 1MM (loose glitter)

What do you think about this kinds of abstract interpretations of Halloween? :) Will you or have you worn some Halloween nail art or Halloweenish manicure?
