Wedding nails

Here's some wedding cake/wedding dress inspired nails I did for an IG challenge, but also my first Nail Challenge Collaborative this month with the theme; A new beginning. Loved this combo of white and holo and the chunky pearl accent. This is something I could consider doing again some time.

Red and pastel blue rose stamping decal nail art

Today I'm showing a Red & pastel blue nail art for last prompt at @whencolourscollide where we biweekly have a color challenge.

I love this color combo (and lol I chose it too) but it took me some time to get it right. You'll probably see my other attempts in the future. Here I created stamping decals for my accent nails. Which means I picked up the black stamping but instead of putting in on my nail, I painted the blue while it still was on the stamper. Then clear and when it was dry I took a tweezer and picked up the decal and put in on top of a semi wet/dry polish base. Tricky but so worth the result. Super happy with this. ^^

Black and red rose and heart nail art

This is my last #whencolourscollide color challenge when the theme was red and black. Red and black has for long been a favorite of mine, here I did some rose stamping, glitter gradient and I also painted two heart metal studs in black to get the look. I also decided to mattify this one. This is one of those nail art's I just adore, I can also see my self wearing this in more black+color (like green, blue, purple etc) in the future. :)

NCC presents: b&w + gray dotted funky french with roses

October has been a quiet month for me. A lot of things to do, some personal issues and nail breakage! The nail breakage took away some motivation and I've only photographed 2-3 mani's so far this month. Anyhow, I still wanted to do the theme for NCC this month, which is funky french ( I have one more ready and then it will be two more  (which I have to create ;)) with shorter nails..

This is actually something I had in my archive and it's not my fav ever, even though the idea has some potential. I like it more today than when I created it. :)

2015 31DC2015 - Day 14; pink rose nails

This is actually my first try with roses even though I showed the black and white first. But since they had a dotted base they went to dots and today the prompt is flowers and her I go with my pink roses.

It's basically just freehand with polishes again. Not going some something realistic, more like a painted version of roses. The base color is quite boring on it's own but looks remarkable similar to a clay pot. I'm actually super happy with this one. :) Hope you'll like it too!

I forgot to photograph the polishes I used for this. Except my matte top coat...

But, Polishes used (of which I remember):
Manhattan (the base)
Essence - Bejios De Brazil
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Baby pink
KIKO - 843, swatch here
R de L Young - White

2015 31DC2015 - Day 11; Vintage dots with withered black and white rose nail art

The first ten days of the 31 day challenge is already done! Can you believe? Next ten manis will be "styles" and the first style is dots.

I decided to do a freehand nail art with a vintage feeling to it. With a dotticure base (and ops, some cartoon inspired frame) and some freehand withered black and white roses. I also added some silver tear drop metal studs. Somehow I wish I had a more delicate and detailed result, but in the same time this is done with nail polishes only and hence this is as good as it gets. Later this year I will be able to use my acrylic paint, I'll also buy a fine nail art brush, the one I got now is quite "un fine". I also quite happy I also painted it on my non dominant hand. I really enjoyed wearing this manicure.

Left hand, painted with my dominant hand.

Right hand, painted with my non-dominant hand.

NCC presents; recreating member designs; Blacken Roses inspired by The Polish Playground

So, because of my computer "problems", the "tea issue", I'm behind on the Nail Challenge Collaborative.. This month it's Recreating member designs in honor of our 3rd Anniversary. I haven't been around for 3 years in the group but scrolling through the different folders with themes have been fun. Since I have a weak spot for  black and white I decided for a mani from the B&W folder for my #1. I decided on a look created by The Polish Playground which she calls Blacken Roses.

Mine is not a dead on exact copy, first of all I don't have a rose pattern to stamp, and I created a bow of my own with rhinestones. However, I think it's clear from what I got inspired by! I made a white base, then freehanded black roses and created a bow with rhinestones and silver metallic beads. I just LOVED wearing this! :D

Polishes used (forgot to take pics, sorry ;))
Essence - Wild White Ways
