NCC presents: b&w + gray dotted funky french with roses

October has been a quiet month for me. A lot of things to do, some personal issues and nail breakage! The nail breakage took away some motivation and I've only photographed 2-3 mani's so far this month. Anyhow, I still wanted to do the theme for NCC this month, which is funky french ( I have one more ready and then it will be two more  (which I have to create ;)) with shorter nails..

This is actually something I had in my archive and it's not my fav ever, even though the idea has some potential. I like it more today than when I created it. :)

2015 31DC2015 - Day 11; Vintage dots with withered black and white rose nail art

The first ten days of the 31 day challenge is already done! Can you believe? Next ten manis will be "styles" and the first style is dots.

I decided to do a freehand nail art with a vintage feeling to it. With a dotticure base (and ops, some cartoon inspired frame) and some freehand withered black and white roses. I also added some silver tear drop metal studs. Somehow I wish I had a more delicate and detailed result, but in the same time this is done with nail polishes only and hence this is as good as it gets. Later this year I will be able to use my acrylic paint, I'll also buy a fine nail art brush, the one I got now is quite "un fine". I also quite happy I also painted it on my non dominant hand. I really enjoyed wearing this manicure.

Butterfly stamping in gray/grey, black, pink and blue

Figured I might as well show the second version of my butterfly stamping manicure (which I showed you yesterday) too. I decided to make a gradient i black over the accents and then do a stamping in black, creating a disappearing pattern. And then a butterfly in each color on top. Then I liked this version better but today I liked my other version better. XD Which one did you like best?

Butterfly stamping in gray/grey, pink and blue

Yesterday it was 19 degrees in the shadow and I saw a the male version of a Common Brimstone (what we in sweden call Citronfjäril). Inspired by that I decided to bring out some photos of some of my first successful stamping attempts with my MoYou stamping kits (photos from September last year). As I've told you before I was happy to receive some plates, stamping polishes, stamper and scrape from MoYou to try out. Since then stamping has been so fun! I like the mix of colors and even though the butterflies aren't aligned perfectly I'm still very happy with this. This is also from my first attempts with my (then new) camera (canon 550d), before I only used my phone so below are a mix with both camera and phone photos. (I'd say that my phone did a quite good work producing pics, below it's not overly obvious to know which are done with phone or camera. Take a guess if you like ;) Now the lens on my phone is scratched so I can't even if I wanted to take photos with it.)

NCC presents: Pusheen Cat nail art

Time for my second post for this month for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. The theme is animals as you might has seen in my first post. Just for fun I decided to follow the cartoon style I started by the first post and decided to make the Pusheen cat. If you don't know what the Pusheen cat is, it's an emoticon for fb and I decided to make Pusheen as an accent with a pink balloon. The other nails got a gradient in a bright teal and light gray and then an inverted glitter gradient in b&w on top + a pink pearl rhinestone at the bottom to bring all the colors together in a nice way. Quite happy with this, hope you like it too. :)

Valentine needle dragging hearts

Happy Valentine's day! Today I have another Valentine nail art to show. It's not the one I'm wearing today (that one I can't show yet because its part of a competition) but it's one I had on earlier. I decided for glittery red hearts on a gray base. And as usually I went for a technique I find simple, which is needle dragging. I used an actual needle for this (usually I often use a dotting tool with a fine end) and I think it's an advantage using a needle when making tiny hearts like this. I did three-in-a-row on all fingers except my accent's where I made some random hearts and I also did a small stamping on one of my nails. What do you think?
