NCC presents: Fimo flower nail art with stamped leafs in pink and blue

Hi! Here is the last of the May theme Spring Flowers for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I figured it was some time since I used some fimos and I decided for some pink flower fimos. For this I decided to use a blue base and then stamp leafs with my new Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate I bought for some weeks ago. I'm really happy with this, both color combo and everything. Hope you like it too. :)

Here you see the image plate in full. It's the BP-50 and has four full pattern. Each pattern is big enough for my long nails and I experience the pattern to be well etched and easy to pick up. I bought this plate from BornPrettyStore, and if you want too, you can use my 10% discount code: NGL91

Gradient in pink and blue 2

Actually have another pink and blue gradient to show, this time also a "wet-on-dry" gradient. This time the base is pink and the tip gradient is blue. The result is kinda cool and weird at the same time. The pink is so neon it's almost glowing and the blue is very bright too even though that's not a true neon. The blue gradient is also a creme so the gradient isn't so smooth and overlapping, it looks more powdered almost, but still a cool look. Enjoy ;P

Polishes used:
China Glaze - Under The Boardwalk A neon which has changed color from purple to this red toned pink.

Gradient in pink and blue

Hi, today I'm showing a gradient I should have worked some more on the blending part. As you might be aware about, there is two ways to make gradients; wet-on-dry and wet-mix.

The wet-mix is when you blend 2 colors or more on the sponge and here 1-coaters/2-coaters are the best (in my opinion) unless you want to use undies (like white polish). The advantage here is that the colors usually blend very well on the nail and the disadvantage is that you start from zero and makes everything in one go with some slightly longer drying time.

The wet-on-dry is when you already have a manicure in any color and add one color on top of the old one to extend and update an existing manicure. Here I prefer shimmers or polishes with a thinner formula (i.e. not 1-coaters) and a disadvantage is that the two colors actually don't blend, it's just one polish being layered ûber thin to make it look like if it's blended and sometime this takes a lot of time to achieve well. The huge advantage is that it can update an old mani in a simple and mostly a very quick way. Below is a manicure which is wet-on-dry which I probably could have blended way better. However from a distance it looks really cool, it's just two polishes and still a "middle" color appear. :)

Had to show you with sunshine too. The shimmer really shows then.

China Glaze - Love's A Beach

If you managed to go through all my text above, which method do you prefer?  Depending on the polish both can create the same result with the same ease in my opinion. So based on that I actually prefer both methods equally depending on the time and what I want to create. :)

Merlion nail art for Singapore

Country no. 17 in the Where In The World Challenge which happens to be Singapore.

I've chosen to make a nail art of their national animal; Merlion which simply explained is a mythical animal with a lions head and a fish body. My inspiration image and more info can be found here. At least I learned something new, and I decided to make an accent nail and match it up with a hot pink texture polish. Quite simple nail art but I think the Merlion look kinda cute. :)

Pastel gradient funky french

Hi! For today I have a pastel gradient in pink and blue all in a funky french. It's npt so much to say more than I started of with the blue and then sponged on the pink. It's not my best gradient but I really liked this.

Smitten Polish gradient with Butter Mint, Robin's Egg and Ladybird

Hi! For this Nail Art Sunday I'm showing a gradient made with only Smitten Polish polishes. This time I decided to use Butter Mint, Robin's Egg and Ladybird. I've done a gradient before with Robin's Egg and Ladybird which you can see >HERE< if you missed it last time. As usual you can go to Lelack and check out more nail art's today as she will add the list during the day. :)

I really liked the outcome of this. As you might have guessed I started off with Butter Mint and then sponged Robin's Egg on top. Then I added Ladybird at the very tip of the nail. As usual I finished it off with Seche Vité for extra shine. I can really recommend these polishes to sponge with, they have excellent qualities for it. I bought mine on Smitten Polish etsy boutique but last time I checked most of this collection was out of stock.

Ladybird and Robin's Egg gradient nail art

It's Sunday and that means Nail Art Sunday at Lelack. The theme is free so I figured that I'll kick start my first theme week in advance with the theme; Smitten Polish. A majority voted Smitten Polish Week and who am I to deny you that? ;)

Therefore, today I'll show you a gradient I did with Ladybird and Robin's Egg. Later during this upcoming week you'll see these and other Smitten polishes swatches with full info. Anyhow, I really liked the outcome of this, I think of a really colorful bird's egg especially since the black glitter went so good with the two colors. Gradients are plain awesome. :)

Hope you liked it and will follow on my little theme week and maybe even participate too if you feel like it . :)

Neon Stripes nail art.

Here I have a "work in progress"-nail art. Often when I make nail art's they look good in the process too. So then I were the "half ready nail art for some day or two. Below is an example of that:

Both are outdoor photos and sadly it was a cloudy and gray day, not showing the full potential of the bright and shiny neons. Both neons are from China Glaze Summer Neons Collection for summer 2012.
I really liked this color combination with neon pink and neon coral with bright pastel blue.

Pink crackle on bright blue nails

What about something blue for this Friday? I've got one picture to show you and it is edited on two nails which you will notice. Archive again. So as you can see it's a nail art with a pink crackle diving the nail.

 Polishes used:
HM Nail Polish - Blue my mind
Isadora Graffiti - Masterpiece Pink
Sure Promise (black)

Do you think this a good use for crackles you think? I'm ambivalent, maybe on longer nails?

Tear drop rhinestone flower nail art

For today I have archive nails to show. First I've done a light pink shimmer base and then I've  painted the tips in darker pink and then painted blue zebra stripes. Finally I glued on some teardrop rhinestones forming flowers.

Hope you liked it. It's not my favorite nail art, It's something with the colors which I don't like but can't really place what. :)

My entry to the Two Bottle Challenge

Hi! As the title says, this is my entry to the two bottle challenge made by Nailed it. The the two bottle challenge has simple rules, basically making nail art with only two bottles of polish. For all the rules, entry and also to check out all the other talented girls, check out THIS post.

I've used the blue Kleancolor - Catch Me and Kleancolor - Pastel Pink.

As you can see it is needle dragging nail art. Nothing new there, but to make it funnier I painted my two polishes diagonal to be able to get two places where I could drag my needle. I also tried to make my swirls large and making the result look a bit more bold. I hope you like it, I really did and I enjoyed making it! :D
More pictures to come. ;) I really like the wet effect the needle dragging create and I feel so inspired to make some more needle dragging nail arts. But maybe with some more colors even though I liked the challenge ONLY picking two polish bottles from the stack, and also choosing the two colors were a pain! :D haha
I think that Catch Me, even though it is clearly blue have some green in it. I had troubles photographing it since it always looked more turquoise, almost green on my pictures. But with some trixing I think I managed to capture it correct.
I really like the above picture and the bottom picture because they emphasize the colors differently. In the above picture I see the pink more clear and in the bottom picture I see the blue more clear.

So I hoped you liked it!
If you like needle dragging nail art you can look at my other posts with it.
