Lavelle - 269, swatch and layering

This is a gorgeous and unique polish in my stash and it reminds a tiny bit of some sort of bigger glittered Fantasy Fire, even though this hasn't got the color shifts. it is just an optical illusion. The base is a navy blue jelly filled with this red glitters nd since some glitter sits on the bottom and some of the top of the jelly when painted, they seem to have a slight color shift. Since the jelly is sheer I decided to layer it with two easy coats over a blue base (Claudia - 609), the jelly darkened Claudia to the jelly color. This is my blue for Blue Monday and I really liked this!

Dotticure gradient in metallic red and blue

Hi there, my blogging is going slow this month. Unexpected events has been doing its toll and sadly I haven't had time to focus much on any of the fun things I love doing. There is a lot of "have-to-do's" atm but I'm sneaking in here to let you know I'm alive and to show you some archive material. My nail status atm is horrible, they definitely need some TLC.

But, let's look at this mani, a simple dotticure (meant to be a dotticure gradient) in red and blue. A color combo I really enjoy. Hope you like it and want to keep follow me despite my low frequency posting I got now, still hoping it will get back to some normal pace soon. :)

31DC2015 - Day 20; Floral watermarble in baby blue and red

Baby blue, or like bright pastel blue combined with red is a combo I really like! Some how it feels very bold and cool in my mind. Today it's watermarble and I've always wanted to do it in those colors. As the last time I did a dry watermarble, which means that I put polish in water, but waited until the pattern was dry and then picked up the pattern and placed it onto my nails, instead of the dipping straight away. Less mess and easier to get the pattern where you want. I actually tried making it the "normal way" but gave up. Anyhow, I was inspired by Dorisylhow who made flowers but in the end I decided to skip the dots in mine, I also just made accents. All in all I'm super happy with this nail art. :)

Crab nail art

Hi, today I'm showing a crab nail art, a nail art from last year. And I've actually done this before which I've shown here. From that time I've changed some things, I've added a gradient and made the crab smaller.

And yea, if you see it, you'll see it. ;) I didn't at first ;)

Alanna Renee - Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails

Despite trying to get time for the blog during the week time just fly by without me having the time for anything fun. Luckily my summer job will end in the beginning of August so then I at least will have more time for fun stuff, like nails, blogging and reading blogs..

Anyhow, let's have a look at a new brand for this blog; Alanna Renee. I actually bought a bunch of polishes a while back and today I'm showing Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails. Isn't that the funniest name ever btw?

Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails is a glitter polish with shiny red and shiny blue middle size hexagons + small blue and red shiny glitters in a clear base. Of course one option is to layer the glitter over another color but I decided to try to make it cover, which from what I remember took like 5 coats. I also tried the polish with matte tc, which was my favorite when I wore it, however looking at the pictures now I almost think that the shiny version is better.. ;)

The picture just above is in lamp light and the pictures below is with matte tc.

Red matte glitter gradient on pastel blue

For this Nail Art Sunday I got a simple glitter gradient to show. Just recently I bought this matte glitter from Kleancolor and I really like this color combo! <3

The red glitter is called Poppy Field and consists of red matte hexagon glitter in three different sizes. The pastel blue is the texture polish from Kicks I recently showed you.

Flower funky french in red and pastel blue

Sorry for being a bit off lately, got a lot of things to do and don't have time for everything I want. Also a reason why no.14 with the theme flowers in the 31dnc is so late.

Basically this is a funky french in pastel blue combined with red flowers and baby blue rhinestones. I just love the combo of pastel blue and red together! :D And for the observant I've also cut my nails a bit. ;)
