French manicure with a lot of pink rhinestones

This is a manicure I really like, not because of the french manicure but because of all the rhinestones. I like that they are different to each other, but still simple. And I really like pink rhinestones :)

The polishes are: China Glaze - White out for the smilies. The base is the Wet n Wild (pearl blue shimmer) and the thin silver lines are made with L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver. The rhinestones are 1MM.

Hot pink funky french with orange fruit fimos

More fimos and funky french! This one is pink and only have orange fruit fimos on the accent nails. I actually like this one more than the one before.

The base is Wet n Wild (pearl blue shimmer) and the smileys are Sure Promise. I like that the brush of Sure Promise is thin because it is easy to free hand the smileys.

Yellow funky french with fruit fimos

I really like yellow nails,it fells so summery. And here I have a yellow funky french with fruit fimos, even more summery! The fimos I've bought at ebay and there is also some 1MM yellow glitter which doesn't come out at all at the picture. I actually don't remember what polishes I've used.

The pictures show right hand at the top and left hand at the bottom.

French mani with pink rhinestones

Here is a design I made back in the beginning of 2010 with fairly short nails. I thought it would be cool with a combination of white, yellow, black and hot pink rhinestones. So simple but still I liked it.

I even remember the polishes which were China Glaze -white out and the lines are made with L.A. Colors Art Deco.

Zebra + leopard in a gradient

Here is what I'm have been wearing the last days. It has brought a lot of attention when having it on, but what can you expect of load colors and patterns?

The gradient is sponged with the yellow and pink needme PARIS Nail Polish and the baby blue Gabrini Elegant at the end of the tip. The zebra lines are made with a fine brush dipped in the black Gabrini Elegant and the leopard spots are made with dotting tool dipped in black and then the blue Gabrini Elegant.

And here’s the pictures:

Tip - budget brands +NOTD

In the last post I mentioned Gabrini Elegant, except for the ones below I’ve got a purple, white and brown duochrome. I bought them in Crete last year and I’m really content with them. The bottles have numbers in the bottom and no names. The black and baby blue covers in two coats, whilst the blue one too the right is thinner and demands more coats. Each bottle cost 1 euro.

The picture below is an ebay bargain. It is an Asian brand, but I’m not sure what’s the actual brand so I write the whole thing out "needme PARIS Nail Polish".
First I bought one in avocado green, and I was really pleased with it, covered in two coats with a nice finish and great formula.  And then I bought some more. Each bottle is £1.39, which is about 16SEK, a real bargain.

Above is the yellow needme PARIS Nail Polish, number 10. It locked like it would cover in just a few coats, but as most yellow it was pain, and not as good as its green friend. An infinit number of coats later made drying time endless and it became bumps and damages on the nails. Colorwise I like it, it is an almost-neon-polish, a bit cold and load, and not as warm as it locks like on the pictures(cloudy outside). The bottle image is more correst, if you think neon.

The bumps on the nail didn’t do some harm since it was suppose to work as base for the nail art I’m wearing right now. It will turn up later to night.

Checked mani in black, white and red + rhinestones

Here is another ”old” mani, from the end of march this year, but felt that it would be appropriate considering this nail design which is from where I got the inspiration for this mani.

The thought is the same, except that the nails are all very high funky French,  the accent nails are simplier and there is a lot more rhinestones (1,5MM)

The black and white nail polish are bought in Crete and the brand is Gabrini Elegant. The red is from a HM mini collection and is simply called red. The black thin lines are made with the black Gabrini Elegant and the white thin lines are made with Sure promise. To make the large black lines I’ve made a small amount of the black Gabrini Elegant thinner with acetone.

Dyraste lacket/lacken i din samling?

Vilket lack pryder dina naglar just nu?

Checked nail art with rhinestone bows

This is a design I really like alot, even though it is not my own. In an japaneese site with false nails (10 false nails à 30$) I found this (but with some modifications on my nails).

I like that the left and right hand are different (placing of design) but still cohecient together. I really like checked nails and before this design I hadn’t seen rhinestone bows either. I also like the combination of black, white and pink.

The nail polish brands used in this mani are Paris memories (pink #229 and black #?). The white is China glaze – white out. Annd the black and white lines are with L.A. colors art deco (fine liners).

Small flowers

A white sloping french mani with purple/blue:ish flowers with pink rhinestones. The flowers are made with the help of a dotting tool.
The white polish is China Glaze - white out.

Nail him

This is a blue sloping funky french with HM’s ”Nail him” with thin black lines. The base color is a thin layer of what I think is the brand “lizzie” (old bottle whit out labels), which is a pink shimmery nail polish.

A clean and simple design which I like a lot and often end up making when I’m in a hurry or want something simple.

Rainbow funky french

To day I have nails from April to show. A sloping funky french in a rainbow of blue, pink, orange, yellow and green. Added some black lines and opaque black rhinestones. The nail art felt like a nice summer design and I might have it more times before winter. Sorry for the non-cleaned up cuticles.

The nail polishes are Sure promise.

Crystallized nail art using salt

Found this youtube tutorial which is what the title says. Salt is sprinkled over a newly painted nail and top coat is used to fixate.

This actually got me to think about Ciaté, which recently released “caviar nail art”. But for Ciaté the caviar was small plastic or metal balls.

I don’t know how well the salty manicure works, I read in the comments that someone had it on for three days without any problems, but another one said she had “melted” nails in the end on the day.

At the moment I’m not in the mood to salt my nails, but I like it when people are creative. :)

Graduation nails

Since it is graduation times here in Sweden I thought it would be nice with an appropriate mani. It is a simple but nice white french mani with black nail stickers on the accent nails.

Polishes used are a white Sure Promise (two-way nail polish) for the smiley and Wet n wild E71504 (a pearl shimmer with blue shimmer) as base.

Welcome to Gelic' nail art!

In this blog I would to share my interest for nail polish and nail art. My hope is that it will become an archive  of inspirational pictures for me but maybe also for others :)
