Smitten Polish gradient with Butter Mint, Robin's Egg and Ladybird

Hi! For this Nail Art Sunday I'm showing a gradient made with only Smitten Polish polishes. This time I decided to use Butter Mint, Robin's Egg and Ladybird. I've done a gradient before with Robin's Egg and Ladybird which you can see >HERE< if you missed it last time. As usual you can go to Lelack and check out more nail art's today as she will add the list during the day. :)

I really liked the outcome of this. As you might have guessed I started off with Butter Mint and then sponged Robin's Egg on top. Then I added Ladybird at the very tip of the nail. As usual I finished it off with Seche Vité for extra shine. I can really recommend these polishes to sponge with, they have excellent qualities for it. I bought mine on Smitten Polish etsy boutique but last time I checked most of this collection was out of stock.

Polishes used (click each polish to get to swatches):
Smitten Polish - Butter Mint
Smitten Polish - Robin's Egg
Smitten Polish - Ladybird

Have a nice Sunday!

Ninja Polish - The Midas Touch, gold flake polish, swatch

Today I'm showing this gorgeous yellow gold flake polish from Ninja Polish. The fun part is that this seem to be the only one with 24K real gold, OPI's and Zoya's are only 18K, even though they all looks the same when I've looked at comparisons. I knew I really wanted a gold flake polish so I was really happy when I saw this.

I've layered The Midas Touch over the bright blue Isadora - Surfers Paradise and I really liked the combination. The formula was great and I used two coats but one could have been enough. I also used Seche Vite on top, not for the shine because it was shiny before, but for extra protection.

I'd really like to have the silver version of this. I've had it in my shopping basket two times but still haven't bought it.Weird haa?

Do you have any gold flake polishes and what are your opinions about them?

Nordic Cap Star Nails - NP11, swatch

Hi! As I said I've bought some Nordic Cap Star Nails nail polish, which is a fairly new budget brand available is Sweden and today I'm showing a dark purple with navy blue shimmer in it called NP11. And there's a great depth in the color and well worth the price of 10SEK. I only needed two coats and I really liked this. It's not a unique color but if you don't already got this I'd really recommend it. :)

Here's a >LINK< to the yellow NP18 - Nordic Cap nail polish I showed you before.

Pink funky french with green glitter

Today it's Thursday and I've picked something pink from the archive to match Princessemmas Pink Thursday. I'm getting a bit fed up with my archive though, I think my nails are more beautiful now and I also take better photos of my nails now. But the thing getting me feel most fed up is not having a job, but I'll try make something positive about it and get things done at home and just keep on searching.

For this manicue I've basically made a pink funky french and then painted clear polish to glue my green loose glitter on.
I wish you could see how beautiful the loose glitter actually is, one my thumb above you'll get a hint of the color spectra.
And look how cleverly I matched my nails with my earring ;)

Yellow funky french with stickers

Today I'll show you a nail art I wasn't that content about. Those damn sticker.. First of all I applied too many.. and to make it worse they all curled on me (which they haven't done before) making every nail less smooth. So I ended up removing it before it even had dried properly. However I liked the yellow funky french and I would have liked this with accent nails with uncurled stickers.. Oh well, that's life. :)

HM - Come Along With Me, swatch

It's Monday and I'm still wearing my poison dart frog manicure, however I guess that you'd like to see something new today. And how about something blue, so I can join Blue Monday at Lindas Nailorama where more blue manicures can be seen later today.

This is HM - Come Along With Me and I needed two coats to reach full opacity which I think is good. HM always seem to have good quality in that sense. The formula is creme but it's possible to see a subtle shimmer in the bottle even though it's no that visible on the nails. When I first saw this I thought it was Nail Him but I soon realized that this polish has a drop of green in it making it a very tropical ocean like color. The only downside with CAWM is that it chipped after two days however I find it to be a very beautiful summer shade and I'll use it again. :)

This is also the base for the white flower nail art I showed you before. :)

Poison dart frog nail art

It's Sunday and Lelack's nail art sunday and to day the theme is "Frogs". For those of you who have been following me for awhile, you would know frogs are one of my favorite animals. I love illustrating them with marker pencils, and especially different kind of various poisonous frogs since their colors often are amazing. I've also done two poison dart frog manicures before, so this will be my third. :)

I first made a coral and orange base with CG's Orange You Hot and Flirty Tankini which I sponged together. After that I used my three blue shades and sponged them on diagonally over the nails. I tried making the black spots irregular. At the bottom of the page you'll see the frog of my inspiration if you didn't already knew which one I've been inspired by. ;)

White flower nail art on blue background

Hi! Today I wish you a happy Midsummer's Day! The day the majority of sweds celebrate more than the national day.  Maybe I'll be a bit slow answering your comments and reading your blogs today but as soon as I got time I'll go ahead. :)

For today I have a simple nail art to show, not the nail art I'm actually wearing today but one I did for a month ago. As you can see I've painted small flowers at the corner of the tip and also dotted three dots on each nails in black. I actually gets sailor feelings from this, maybe by the color combination? What do you think about it?

HM - Lemon Tree, swatch

Today I'm showing the yellow Lemon Tree from HM. Below is 4 coats and there's a slight VNL but not bothersome enough for me to care. As you can see it's a darker yellow with a hint of red but with out being orange. The formula is creme and on the photos I've got Seche Vite on to make it shine some more. :)

This remind me about the yellow NP18 from Nordic Cap I just showed you. Maybe I should make a comparison so we could check it out. ;) I do love comparisons! :)

I realized afterwards that I hadn't done any clean up so there's some mess on my cuticles but with some luck you're just like me and only notice it because I just told you. ;)

Pink speckled polish comparison

Hi, it's Thursday and let's make it pink with a comparison between pink polishes with matte black opaque glitter. Normally I'm not in to pink polishes (unless they're neon) but with black glitter anything goes, I LOVE black glitter.

And yes, pink and Thursday, for more pink polishes, check out Princessemma and her Pink Thursday theme. :)

At first I thought these three polishes where quite similar based at looking at the bottles. However I soon realized that they're are very far from each other on the nail. It's more like if they would be good for an ombre which means that I must get two more pink polishes with black glitter to make this work! ;)

Above you see the polishes on the nails. I've showed them separately swatched here at my blog before and if you want to come to the full blog post, just click the link below for each polish.

Smitten Polish - Ladybird. The darkest pink of the bunch and a crelly and 4 coats.

Pretty & Polished - Elvis Pink Cadillac. A baby pink jelly and  4 coats.

Smitten Polish - Cookies & Cream. A apricot colored crelly and 4 coats.

Nordic Cap Star Nails - NP18 (yellow), swatch

Of cause I also had to purchase the new Swedish budget polish available, Nordic Cap which just suddenly arrived in our everyday supermarkets and for 10 SEK it's hard to resist. (About 1, £0,9 or $1,5)

I picked up four colors and this is one of them, of cause I had to try on the yellow! ;)

This is as you can see a darker yellow toned polish and the formula is jelly.

I used four coats and there's still some VNL as you can see. The polish it self was very shiny and glossy and the brush was surprisingly good.

I liked this, however I have other yellow polishes very similar to this, but with fewer coats. Basically it's an okay polish for the price. I will probably end up buying more colors.

Sloping funky french with zebra stripes

Today I'm showing zebra stripes again. It's the print I'm always making when I'm out of fantasy, this will be zebra nail combination nr. 15, apparently according to my labels. These nails are archive nails, must empty my archive but I have so much new funnier things that I want to show too. ;) Any how, this time I've used a black base and white stripes instead of my regular white base and black stripes. I quite like the result.

Paris Memories (black)
L.A. Colors Art Deco - White
Sure Promise (pink glitter)

Oopsie Daisies - Bluebird, swatch

It's Blue Monday and I'm showing a blue beauty from Oopsie Daisies. For more blue polishes, please check out Lindas Nailorama.

Basically Bluebird is a baby blue crelly with small round brown and copper glitter.

I'm pretty sure I used three coats for this.

I really loved this polish, except for one thing.. It had small balls of pigments that I couldn't smear out with the brush, I've also rolled the bottle in my hands to mix it more but it hasn't worked out. I guess that it doesn't show that much but it's annoying.

Above you might see some pigment balls sticking up from the side of my ring finger.

I like the name of it, the polish is suppose to look like a birds egg with speckles. I really like that the glitter isn't black, but brown and copper. I also like that the glitter is small and therefore subtle comparing to all my other polishes like this one.

Do you got any trick or solution when a bottle of polish isn't properly mixed?

Side-flower french manicure

It's Sunday and Lelack's Nail Art Sunday theme is free. So this weekend I want to show you a nail art I did about two weeks ago. It's a french manicure embellished with thin flowers and red rhinestones. I'm really content over the result, I especially like the thin flowers. I also miss the length of my nails, I cut them down after this manicure and they haven't returned to the length I feel most comfortable in yet.
