Holo glitter gradient and a rhinestone bow nail art

Just a little quickie with my new years nails. A holo glitter gradient and a rhinestone bow. :) Crappy photos but this was so beautiful IRL. :)

Essence - I Feel Gritty, swatch + nail art

I like texture polishes so of course I had to buy the texture top coat from Essence called I feel gritty. The finish isn't that gritty or textured when touching it, it's like if one coat of tc could fix it. As for all of the texture top coats I've seen it has "glittery stuff" combined with the "texture stuff". Here I've applied 1 coat over my new years eve nail art, which is a black creme + decoration. I've also tried it over other colors and finishes and the conclusion is that the texture top coat always gray the base down heavily. Also the nail art decoration gets hidden quite much, something to think about in future nail art's. (Which reminds me that it's Sunday, and therefore Nail Art Sunday today, omg the days are a mess right now).

I can imagine this is awesome for any person who loves the glittery textures, but me preferring the creme textures the most, this is just okay and doesn't make me go up and down jumping of joy. What do you think?

Some days late perhaps but I also have a matte version of my new years eve nail art. I think I actually preferred the shiny version but of course I'll show you this anyhow.

New years eve nail art

We have now reached the last of the themes in the Winter Nail Art Challenge which appropriately is New Years Eve. My nail art for today is very simple, a black base and silver metal beads placed with the help of a dotting tool. It's actually simpler than one can think to place them in intricate patterns like numbers etc. Try it! And now you wonder, will this be my actual new years nail art? But the answer is no, I have other plans.. ;)

My new year's eve nail art

Hi!
As promised, here's my new years eve nail art! As you can see it's a sloping funky french in gold holo glitter and then stars stamped randomly along the sloping smiley. Maybe gold is "wrong" to a new year manicure but I really had a feel for the gold glitter holo. And I really liked the outcome. Below there's a lot of pictures and I hope you like it too!

In writing moment I'm just about to go to bed because when this is published I'm headed back to my home town, back home to my boy friend. Can't wait. It's a three hour trip and if I'm not sleeping the whole way I'll probably edit a large bunch of nail art pictures. We'll see what I find most interesting, sleep or nail art.. haha :)

 Oh, and btw, the stamping was hell. I used a regular black first but that was too thin and was hard to pick up from the plate. I then changed to my fine liner polish (they are often thicker and more pigmented) and the stamping was so much easier.

 Here you can see the bottle for the gold holo glitter. And you see correctly, it's a fine liner which I've brushed over a normal gold so that I only needed 1 coat of the holo glitter. I say holo glitter because it really sparkles like holo, however it's not a real holo glitter, because there's no purple or blue in it. The main glitter combination is from red-orange-yellow to green. Is that a half holo or just multi glittering glitter? Anyhow, gorgeous polish.

New Year's stars and glitter nail art

This is a nail art I really like, silver glitter that glitters from the whole spectra of the rainbow and some black opaque rhinestones on top. I just love the combination! Perfect to celebrate the new year, right?!

The polish is from Paris Memories and I've used a lot of coats to make the glitter opaque.

I also want to take the opportunity to say thank you to all you readers that has been following me and has commented my posts etc this 2012, you're gold and makes blogging so much funnier! Hope that you'll keep being around 2013 as well! :D
