Houndstooth negative space in b&w with skull charm

So, just a half month wrong, but here is my 4th negative space for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. Houndstooth, geometrical black and white with some dripping and black opaque rhinestones, here combined with a lovely Lady Queen 3D skull decoration. The 3D nail art decoration comes in a 2pack and is made of plastic, it is quite big so I think longer nails are preferred. The back is flat so I suggest that you use nail glue to attach it. :) Despite some small stamping smudge I'm super happy how this came out. :) Hope you like it!

NCC presents: Christmas gift/wrapping negative space nail art

So, this month I will try to do the nail art challenges within the actual time frame. By that I decided to join two challenges today, which is the Nail challenge Collaborative with the theme "negative space" and with the Winter Nail Art Challenge and the theme Wrapping/Christmas gifts.

I had something quite clear in my mind for this, with red, gold and black combined. My main idea was the combo of gold flakes on both the naked nail and on top of the red. I also added small little bows on some nails. Quite happy how this one turned out. :)

Polishes used:
Wet n Wild - Red A Good Book/Ballon rouge

Ninja Polish - The Midas Touch
R de L Young - black
Black opaque rhinestones (I used the bows).

31DC2015 - Day 24; Stepen King inspired nail art 02

This challenge doesn't have many days left but today it's nail art inspired by books and again I decided to be inspired by a Stephen King book. :D (Here's my previous King nail art)

This time I went for the Firestarter and a graphical book cover for it. The nail art it self is very simple, just some freehand text and matches with my dotting tool and some black opaque rhinestones. I think it looks quite graphical and cool even though I liked my other Stephen King nail art slight better. ;)

31DC2015 - Day 19; Galaxy + otep inspired nail art

Today it's the galaxy theme in 31dc2015. And yea, galaxies are nice and all that, I don't mind them but somehow it feels like they often just look more of less the same all the time. Of all the prompts in the 31dc I've on previous years often find my self thinking that it's the least versatile nail art of them all.

So I'm always trying to do something else, but "galaxy inspired". My galaxy involves a whole bunch of stars, both in black and gold, also some plus and dots as "stars"(?).  All in a red background. Something else is also happening and since I'm also joining the #musicpolishfestival challenge (by Lakobotan and Leedyz) (yes I know, 3 challenges in the same month!) and therefor I also wanted to incorporate a singer in this. My choice was Otep Shamaya and I've always like the promo pic where's she is wearing the checked shirt, and black and red felt like a good color choice, partially because it has been used on albums and some videos too. And with a "deeper" interpretation the crosses also has a meaning to her position to church and christian religion. She has quoted "Art is my God, Music is my religion...".

Don't know if this made sense to you with the mishmash, let me know in the comment bar below. :)

And here's a little collage of it all. :)

31DC2015 - Day 5; blue - Matte blue cartoon inspired nails with glitter

If this feels familiar you're correct. ;) This is pretty much the same as my orange look, it's not really because of lack of imagination, when I did the two I thought that it was fun, because it's the same brand of the shredded glitter. So I thought it would be fun to make them as a duo. :)

With flash.

31DC2015 - Day 2; orange - Matte orange cartoon inspired nails with glitter

Early this spring P2 released some matte shredded spring glitter, but on this base I think they fit for autumn too. (Thought I showed the glitter before, but that was the blue version..) Somehow this combo makes me think about autumn leafs or apples, if that makes sense? I also really love outlining my designs now days.. so this one got a cartoon like outline and black rhinestones. And matte top coat. What do you think? :)

KIKO - 368

P2 - Cassis Passion Dots
R de L Young - Black

1 MM round black opaque rhinestones
Essence - Satin Matte Top Coat

Essence - Satin Matte Top Coat. Have I talked about this one before? I think it's an okay matte top coat, and it do give the nails a satin look. The thing I don't like with it is that it isn't possible to place shiny top coat on top (like for shiny+matte nail art designs) since this top coat really dulls/grays the surface permanently.
