31DC2015 - Day 30; Pond stamping in neon green

Day 30 is inspired by a tutorial and I was inspired by rugged_yska's clip of her pond stamping. I knew the basics of course by this was my first try with it. I didn't have the exact same stamping patterns so I picked some I thought fitted well and use a neon green jelly. (And yea, today is also Green Wednesday) I wouldn't say mine is perfect but I loved this so there will be more pond manis and pond stampings in the future for sure!

31DC2015 - Day 29; Ghost bc inspired nail art

Annoyingly I'm one day behind now, but I'll fix that up later today. This post is for day 29 which is super natural. Since I'm also doing the #musicpolishfestival challenge which had the theme favorite music video I decided to join the two. My music video of choice is Ghost BC - Year Zero, which is a swedish heavy metal band with satanic and "dark" lyrics. The band contains of the "anti-pope Emiratus lll" with a "skull mask" and the 5 nameless ghouls and even though they been around for almost a decade the members name are still a secret since they always wear masks (well I'm pretty sure who most of them are, but not 100%).

All my nails are done with freehand painted with polish. I've decided for a few things appearing in the video of Year Zero and skipped other things. In the video some women are having a feast with papa Emiratus (he's wearing a face mask) and they're dining on raw meat and grapes and wine. Afterwards the women dresses them self to become the nameless ghouls (but the actual ghouls aren't women so it's more of a trick). In the video there's also a boy which helds his hands towards the sun, almost hiding it, that's my thumb painting. My pinkie and pointer are with the "food", my ring finger is of papa Emiratus with his "ghost skull painting" and on my middle finger I have the five ghouls and the Ghost BC logo. I know everything might not make sense if you haven't seen the video but nonetheless I'm very happy with the outcome.

I also did it in shiny but I think that everything looked better matte.

31DC2015 - Day 28; Pirate Bun emoticon jolly roger nail art

Day 28 means flags and tbh it's not really a favorite of mine, but last time I did a 31 day challenge I did a jolly roger flag nail art which I this time wanted to make a little spin of it by making the whole thing blue (making it possible for me to also join Blue Monday, yay!) and also including Bun, the facebook emoticon in it's pirate outfit, also added a boat, the mandatory flag, some clouds and birds in the background. All is freehanded with polishes. :) Was really happy with this one. :)

Meet pirate Bun :)

31DC2015 - Day 27; Banksy street art inspired nail art

Today artwork is the theme of the day and I decided to get inspired by street art. I just love well made graffiti and street art. There is often good political and social statements and some of the 3D art are just mind baffling.

Today I have done a nail art inspired by Banksy (a quite well known street artist), I wish I had small detail brushes so I could be able to make more detailed work since my canvases are way smaller than a brick wall. However with that in consideration it's not that bad. I found a "graffiti" aka crackle polish in P2's new collection and figured it would fit perfect for this. The rest is freehanded with a fineliner polish and a dotting tool. Hope you like it. :)

31DC2015 - Day 26; Houndstooth in black and pink

Today it's inspired by a pattern and my favorite pattern is houndstooth. So of course I decided to use that today. To save some time I decided to stamp my pattern.. at the moment I only have Konad's plate with the pattern and it's super tiny so I had to stamp each nail twice (and therefor they're not perfect but irl no one would notice I think). I used a hot pink base and then stamped and finished it of with some color changing glitter making it looking deliciously candy jelly looking imho. They looked much nicer irl but the glitter wanted to hide from the camera. Hope you'll like them. :)

31DC2015 - Day 25; fashion inspired sheer black dot negative space nail art

I just can't stop my self, I love doing fashion inspired nail art. For me it's like a full buffet of options. This time my inspiration is from a Black Milk Clothing sweater and the bandeau behind reminded me of a black smiley. I can't say that the actual end result is especially unique (I've seen several nail artist's done this before) but I really like it! I was also happy that I managed to get the dots at least somewhat good (usually my dots gets more different sized). Just happiness :D
