Born Pretty Store Christmas and winter charms nail art

Here I have one of my Christmas nail art to show. A simple but beautiful december suiting nail art. For accents I used my Born Pretty Store Charms and a snow flake glitter polish for the rest.

The Born Pretty Store charms come in 10 pieces with Christmas/Winter/December suiting symbols, like christmas tree, snowflake, candle, santa, snowman etc. ^^ The size of them varies but they are quite big and chunky so they suit best for longer/bigger sized nails. The back of them are curved length wise to better fit the nails. I used super nail glue and they lasted for three days. :)

Snowman nail art

Now I'm back to business, more or less at least. ;) With my new part time job I must make sure to be efficient to be able to get time for everything I want, like blogging and nail related stuff. I'd also like to thank you all for all the nice comments I've got, yesterday I answered 66 comments which had dropped in here while I was gone. <3

Today I'm showing you the 3rd theme in Loving Cosmetic's Christmas Challenge which is "snowman".
 For this I freehanded a snowman on my ring finger and made an inverted gradient with a polish called "Melted Snowman" from the brand Ninja Polish. I've actually done a similar nail art last year which you can see HERE. For the glitter gradient I had to dab the brush a lot but I think it came out kinda cool. On top I have 2 coats of Seche Vite to make the surface smooth. I also couldn't resist making them matte which you'll see in the end. As you can see I've also actually cut my nails 4-6 mm's yesterday so now I'm rocking much shorter nails but I think the snowman nail art worked anyhow or what do you think? Which one did you like the best, matte or shiny? :)

I just love the subtle shimmer in Melted Snowman combined with the white and black hexes in different size and the string glitter in orange and brown. Christmas and winter like and fun. :D

Ninja Polish - Melted Snowman with snow man nail art

For today I have an awesome polish and awesome nail art to show you all. The star in the composition is Melted Snowman from Ninja Polish. I still don't get if I should call it I'm feeling nail-venturous as a brand also?  I started of by making a very high smiley with gray since gray is a good color when trying to complement white and black glitter polishes I think. And then I added the polish Melted Snowman. And on my left hand I painted a snowman.

 Above is my left hand and below is my right hand.

Melted snowman contains of large and medium size hexagon white glitter (for the body of the snow man) and small and even tiny black glitter(as eyes, mouth and buttons). It also have copper string glitter, which maybe could be sticks for arms or symbolize the carrot nose. The base of the polish isn't clear, it's some blueish shimmer in it too. I first was a bit disapinted when I saw the shimmer in the bottle but when on the nails I really loved the effect, little bit like the actual shimmer/glitter on snow and ice.

For this nail art I used 3-4 coats, but below you can see just one coat as a reference. As you can see from the picture above I had some problem separating the white hexagon glitter from each other so there is a need of dabbing and trying to place the glitter. However I really love this polish and think that the miner placing and dabbing problem is worth it! Drying time was normal too.
