Nail Challenge Collaborative - Winter nail art, summary

As I mentioned before Collages might pop up. In January the theme for Nail Challenge Collaborative was winter. I've already posted my 4 manis on IG but I wanted to show them to you here too. :)

One gradient with Ninja Polish - Melted snowman. XD

Two manis stamped with snow flakes.

And one freehand of a poor polar bear on a melting piece of ice. Done with nail polish. ^_^ This is obviously my favorite.

Feel free to join this monthly nail art challenge. Find us at Facebook by searching for Nail Challenge Collaborative. :)

Purple and white snowflake nail art

So a little fast post with my snowflakes for the Winter Nail Art Challenge. A bit too late, but ofc I'll show them anyhow. :) Tomorrow are my gift/wrapping paper nails. ;)

I started off with a distressed nail art in three purple nuances, then some glitter polish and white snow flake stamping on top. :) Hope you'll like.

Polishes used:
AT09 stamping plate (bought at eBay)
Moyou special nail polish
Essence - A Whisper Of Spring
Essence - Beautiful Lies
KIKO - 333

Claire's - Witchy Woman

BTW, since I'm studying an live another place than home, I only have one lamp but it sadly is a bit yellow toned.. Also it is pitch black when I get up and pitch black when I get home..So I'm really unhappy with how my photos are looking like at the moment. Will keep trying to adjust and see if I can find a better result.. :)

Silver snow flake glitter on a black base

Time for a little product review for Born Pretty Store. This time I'll show you flat snow flake glitter in silver. I estimate the size to be about 5 MM and a good thing is that the glitter i soft and also curved. At first I was like "oh no, they are curved", but soon I went to "oh yes, they are curved!:D" which means that they lay perfectly flat on the nail, since the glitter is following the nail shape! I used a dotting tool to pick them upp and pressed them down in the wet base. After I had placed them I dotted down the "arms" of the snowflake to make sure it lay down perfectly flat. Then I finished of with 2 coats of top coat for a smooth surface.

This time I decided for a dark manicure, a black creme base to really show off the silver glitter. I also think that black and silver is an awesome color combo. I decided to make all nails the same and I think the result looks quite elegant. I can definitely recommend this glitter.  Hope you'll enjoy this design. :)

Snowflake glitter from Born Pretty Store

The glitter comes in this huge jar so there is plenty of glitter making this a good buy. Here you can also see what I meant with curved glitter, perfect since our nails are naturally curved.

Born Pretty Store always has free world wide shipping and if you're interested in purchasing you can always use my code NGL91 which gives you 10% discount on this and/or all products at BPS. Original price is $3.73 but with discount ~$3,36. Here's the direct link: Snow Shiny Tiny Glitter Powder Sheets Tips Nail Decoration

White and green snowflake stamping nail art

Today I have another stamping nail art. You might recognize the base here, I've showed that one before, a green creme and then matte glitter in green, white and black layered on top. Then white snowflakes randomly placed. I see this nail art as some sort of spring nail art, green tendencies but still snow. In north of Sweden, where I come from, the green tendencies will take another 2-3 months I guess. But here in Germany I highly suspect that the spring will come sooner. Today was 15 degree Celsius plus, even though that is suppose to be unusual here. Anyhow, if you like more green manis', head over to Green Wednesday.

Black and red snowflake nail art

Second theme for WinterNAC is snow/snowflakes. I wanted to make it a bit untraditional and edgy, and my choice fell on a black and red skittelette with my favorite studs and then accent nails with stamped snowflakes. The image plate is AT09 and I bought it at ebay for probably 2 years ago, but I haven't used it before. Really happy with this. :)

Polishes and materials used:
Nordic Cap - NP09 (red)
MoYou's special black nail polish
Jordana Pop Art - Black Mark
Image plate AT09

If you buy a nail art set, any of you choice, you can pick one polish OR one image plate of your choice if you use the code CEL246. Which polish or the number of the image plate you want, you write at the comment section at the checkout. You can use the code as many times you want, as long as you buy a nail art set. :D

Holo snowflake funky french

Let's look at my Holo snowflake funky french which I did in the beginning of this winter. It's basically a blue and white gradient with white freehanded snowflakes. And then a holo top coat holo polish on top of the smiley. Not super holographic especially in shadow/natural light but still a valid contribution to Holo Friday. What do you think? :)

Red snow flake nail art

Hi, I've got a lot of winter/Christmas inspired nail art to show. I've been and will be a bit off from the blog but during the time that has passed I've still been able to do some nail art and below is one of them. This particular one is inspired from HG Nail Design, a really talented blogger which I like. She made an awesome snow flakes design which I wanted to recreate with my pink snow flake nail art in mind but I ended up with just one on each hand but the result look kinda cool anyhow. I think of Christmas socks/mittens/sweater some how. Hope you like it. :)
