Oh I've been a bit unactive both on my blog and on IG (everywhere) but here are some challenge nails for @whencolourscollide in yellow and purple. It was a fun combo and I made a gradient in purple, with a purple glitter gradient and yellow textured block and of course the smiley glitter gradient. Challenging combo but still colorful and nice. :)
Seems like I didnt photograph the bottles but it's:
Jordana - Yellow Madness
China Glaze - Blue Attitude
China Glaze - Let's Jam
Golden Rose - No 08
Color Club - Chill (the 3 glitter smileys)

Tie-dye water marble in black and purple
#clairestelle8challenge had 'out of comfort zone' as a theme and it was quite obvious that water marble should be my choice.😝 I ended up with something looking like a tie dye, or octopus tentacle. I dunno. But I liked it.

Hello 2017 & Penguin freehand nail art
Needless to say 2016 wasn't my year for many reasons. Personal issues
made my motivation at the bottom and my nail art'ing was sparse. To make
it worse I had computer problems (which of course could have been
solved with an excellent economy). To sum it up, all things which could
go wrong at the same time did. I hope 2017 will be much better. :)
I'm not really expecting anyone of my old followers to still be around. I feel like I'm doing this for my self. Building up my searchable archive as I intended before, to easier see what I've done and my improvements etc.
I'm that kind of person who likes things in order. Therefore I debated with my self how I should handle the blog thing. I've posted things on IG which I haven't posted here. Should I try to catch up? Should I give up and just keep doing IG only? I've decided for a yes and no on the catching up, I won't force it though. I like the routine to post the same content on both channels on same dates.
So, I've updated my blog design a bit. Not sure I want to keep Blogger though, suddenly it feels awfully dated, but that's for another day. This is better than nothing for the moment.
First up is this penguin nail art for an IG challenge called Glamnailschallenge. Simple freehand with nail polish. Actually my first ever penguin nail art. :) And I'm really proud of it.

Gold and teal nail art with metallic gold temporary tatto's
Hi everybody! Today I'm showing last color theme for @whencolourscollide, gold and teal and this is what I come up with. I did a teal gradient in two teal nuances and embellished this with some gold tattoos LadyQueen has given to me for review a while back.
I knew from the start that I wanted to combine the tattoos on both my nails and hands for a cool nail art look and it worked really good for both. I cut the tattoo in pieces and put it in a plate with enough water to cover them up, after 30-60 sec (when I saw that it was all wet) I used a tweezer to pick em' up. I will show my nails both with and without top coat here, with tc it wrinkled the gold slightly but not in a bad way and the durability has been great, 5 days (and now I just want change anyhow). On my hands/fingers the durability was as expected way less, as I've seen before on the hands it last for about a day, so it's more for special occasions on the hands. A good thing (which surprised me) is that it wears off in a nice way. It is NOT as the kids tattoos I used when I was a child which got dirty/blackish when they got old. The gold tattos first got slightly less gold colored, and got more of a silver tone and then just discretely started to wear off. I'm happy with this product and I'm already planning more looks with it, especially for summer with sightly more tanned hands. :)
I used:

***Some products in this post have been provided for review, however it has not changed my opinion about them.***

Depend - 260, swatch (green)
If you've missed yesterday's post I'll be doing a green week this week since Karin at Vacker&Underbar pointed out that October also is Depression Awareness Month, which has the color green. I wrote quite a long post about it yesterday which you can find here but the basic thing is to show awareness to depression, far too many feel depressed and some how it's also filled with guilt to feel sad/down. In today's society it's not generally accepted to feel sad, the norm is to jump around and be happy all the time. This is a part about it, to not point fingers and show acceptance to people.
Today's green polish are archive nails, I wore it this summer. The brand is Depend, a brand that I normally don't favor, the bottles are like other brand's mini bottles at their 5 ml size but the price is full if you know what I mean.. When there's so little in a bottle I think it's extra important that the formula is good, for my wide and long nails I otherwise would almost empty a bottle like this if it need too many coats.
260 actually fills the acquirements, it's a one coater and I really like this. The color is like a dusky military green and the finish is creme. Here I'm showing it with seche vite and it looks super shiny. I like this color and I know there's other brands who have this color as well, I have one from HM for example.

31DC2013 Day 4; Green manicure with a green french tip
Hi! I didn't have the time to schedule last night and then this morning I had to eat breakfast first but now you're going to get today's post. And as you probably have noticed I've started doing this challenge and the prompt of today is green. Maybe you think this nail art is too simple but I actually thought that it looked elegant like this in it's own simpleness and I didn't want to ad anything more. I also really like this two shades of green together!

31DC2013 Day 2; Orange dotted gradient funky french
If you missed yesterday I've decided to participate in the 31 Day Challenge. Today it's orange and I decided to make a dotted gradient which would form a funky french kinda look. I used a sheer shimmer polish from Maybelline which I then covered up in dots, IRL the dots tricked my eyes and the VNL in the photos weren't noticeable at all.

Maybelline - DA051

Zebra stripes fading into gradient nail art in white and green
Sunday and that means Nail Art Sunday at Lelack where you later today can find a link list with a lot of bloggers who've made nail art's. The theme this week was free so I've cheated some and I'm showing an archive nail art from last summer. ;)
First I painted a white base and then made a green gradient. After that I made white zebra stripes making them fade in to the background. Maybe the green gradient shouldn't have been so high and then the zebra stripes would have faded in better.
No matter what, I'm really content with this nail art. :) I really love zebra stripes..haha

Block nails in black, purple and pink
It's Lelack's Nail Art Sunday and since the theme was free I wanted to show a nail art another of the participants of Nail Art Sunday once showed. When Drops Of Color showed her block nails, I knew I wanted to do the same but in other colors. Said and done, here it is, in black, purple and pink:
Swatches of all three polishes can be found here >LINK<.
My only problem application wise was that I had to paint two coats on each block because otherwise the base color shined through.
