Claire's - 16633, swatch and layering

Hi, here's a quickie with Claire's - 16633 (I don't get why they didn't give this one a real name, they usually do), which is matte hex glitters in black, pastel blue and shiny pink hex glitters in a clear base. I decided to mattify the whole thing with Claire's matte top coat. Fun and simple. :)

Claire's - Ditsy Floral Blue, swatch and layering

Here's a fun matte glitter from Claire's. They're a brand I've started to like since I found it in Germany.

Ditsy Floral Blue has matte middle tone floral shaped glitters, matte hot pink hexes, semi matte metallic hexes and matte white and super light matte pastel blue hexes combined with tiny white hexes in two sizes, all in a clear base. Below is two coats and the flower glitter was very easy to get up, no fishing required at all. As for application I dabbed the flowers a bit, as you do with big glitters. I decided to layer this over KIKO - 330, a warm toned pastel purple and I think the result looks really cute. Top coat is a must since of the glitter size.

Yes Love - P6, swatch and layering

Hi, today I'm showing a swatch of Yes Love - P6. P6 is a shimmer purple with golden duochrome tendencies. All pics are in cold light so naturally the the gold looks warmer in warmer light. I layered P6 over KIKO - 333 and used 3 coats to get the opaqueness I wanted.

I bought this in a small asian store in Germany for 2 euro. :)

Lavelle - 269, swatch and layering

This is a gorgeous and unique polish in my stash and it reminds a tiny bit of some sort of bigger glittered Fantasy Fire, even though this hasn't got the color shifts. it is just an optical illusion. The base is a navy blue jelly filled with this red glitters nd since some glitter sits on the bottom and some of the top of the jelly when painted, they seem to have a slight color shift. Since the jelly is sheer I decided to layer it with two easy coats over a blue base (Claudia - 609), the jelly darkened Claudia to the jelly color. This is my blue for Blue Monday and I really liked this!

Dance Legend - Kiwano, swatch

Kiwano is a neon green jelly with black shredded glitter in it. And when I say neon I mean VERY neon, it looks like it is glowing, yet it isn't. And my camera freaks out in the process. Anyhow since I knew it was sheer (as jellies are) I decided to layer it over Kleancolor - Bikini Green. I used 3 coats to get the jelly sandwich effect for the shredded glitter. I'm not only liking this, I just LOVE it and wish I had all the colors in this collection. First I have some photos taken in direct sun light and after a few in natural light.

Below are photos taken in natural light. As you can see the camera has problem with the neon and in effort to capture the color my hands looks slightly darker.

P2 - Mint Flavour Dots, layering and swatch

Let's have a small pause from the textures and look at some glitter instead!

I was happy to find this polish called Mint Flavour Dots from P2's LE Just Dream Like; spring fav nail top coat. It's a clear base filled with tiny white dots, white matte shredded glitter and matte hexagons in light and bright green and blue. I used three dabbing coats here over the aqua colored KIKO - 341. This teal blue ensemble is also my contribution to Blue Monday where you can check out more blue manis.

I'll show KIKO - 341 alone in a future post and all and all I liked Mint Flavour Dots. I'm really fond of shredded glitter. xD

Nicole By OPI - Gone Wishin' - with Claire's matte top coat

Yesterday I showed you Gone Wishin' from NOPI and today I'm showing it matte by adding Claire's matte top coat. I actually like it matte much better and Claire's matte top coat is a favorite among matte tc's at the moment. Which version do you like best?

And also, this weekend will be unusually quiet, as I mentioned we have guests this weekend so there's little time for internet in general. I'll be back to normal at Wednesday. :)
