Is matte or shiny best for this nail art in your opinion? :)

2015 31DC2015 - Day 18; Half moons in black and neon green + negative space, shiny version
Hi, today it's all about "half moons", and this was actually one of the themes I had an idea for long before I started this challenge. I saw this design at instagrammer Just1nail and decided to recreate it/do something inspired by it. I think hers is way better, maybe this is a design which fit much better for short nails? My color of choice was a neon green instead of pastel pink, just because I love neon green. This particular green was so bright that my camera couldn't capture it perfectly. Of the black negative space parts I much prefer the nail which is all black, will probably do something with that in the future. ;) Hope you'll like it. (also a matte version coming up soon.)
Above is my favorite of the accent, think it feels a bit glass like. :) Also added a single pic of the green, showing it in it's most accurate color. As I said it's so bright and neony that it was a trouble photographing this in the full hand photos, when the green was good the black was too dark etc. :)

NCC presents: Dreamcatcher dotticure nail art in black/white/gray
Time for second post themed dots for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I decided to make the dream catcher nails again, because there is so many dots to create this manicure. Last time I did it, I used bright orange as accent color to the black and white (LINK here), but this time (maybe inspired by the Swedish weather?) I choose gray. I tried catching these in natural light but it was quite dark so I'm not so happy with the photo quality but at least you can see them. =)
Polishes used:
Kleancolor - White
ZTIZ nail polish (black)
Jordana Pop Art - Black Mark
La Femme (gray/grey creme)

Red and black glitter funky french
Hi, today it's no 18 in the 31dnc which is "half moons, which in my opinion mostly is a very high smiley french, sometime with a colored base. I decided to do my "moon" nude and the rest in black and red. I'm happy with the result even though I think I'll try this sometime without the french, just regular. I painted this yesterday and when I removed it I saw that it had stained my nails.. Any how, I started with a red shimmery base and then a red and black glitter polish on top.
Did this in matte and shiny, which version do you prefer? I preferred the matte version ;)
Polishes used:
China Glaze - Tattered & Scattered
Kleancolor - Red Heart

Dreamcatcher dotticure nail art
For this Nail Art Sunday I have a manicure I really enjoyed wearing. I've seen it at pinterest in different colors combinations but this time I choose to do it in orange, black and white. What I didn't know was what to call it..I asked in a nail fb group and got "Indian nail art", "dream catcher" and "lace", and the www told me "dotticure pattern" and it could be called "dotticure half moon pattern" too. But I guess this nail art really don't have a well established name (yet)? If you know the name please tell me in the comments.
As I said I really liked this and it was actually simpler to do than I thought, just making a whole bunch of dots. I'm thinking of wearing this again (these photos are from August last year) and then I could make a tutorial of it, you've told me you like those. ;)

31DC2013 Day 21; Inspired by orange; orange fruit nail art
20 days have passed and the third and last part of the challenge starts. This section is called "inspired by.." and today it is "inspired by a color". My color of choice is orange.. which perhaps is the first thing one would think of but I really liked my idea so I went with it. I curious to see what you other did! ;)
Basically as you can see I went for my orange colored texture polish, which in my mind looked like orange peel and then I painted the orange wedge. Or well, I painted the fruit flesh first as a "half moon" and then the peel..you'll get it when you see the pictures. I don't think this is my best nail art ever, but no matter what, it is so fun to look at that I don't mind! Hope you like it too! :D
I also realized that oranges isn't as orange as the nail polish, my nails looked more like mandarins! ;)
