Kleancolor - Coffee Addict, swatch

Shall we take a look at my current favorite golden polish? Kleancolor - Coffee Addict is my "go-to-gold", it is antique gold (brown toned) and also a 1-coater. Easy application and good formula. Can one ask for more? ^^

Bought from ebay.

HM - Green Street, swatch

Already October! Time goes by very fast and autumn will probably arrive soon. Here in Germany it's been hot and sunny all day though, but temperature is falling day by day. I'm trying to get my portfolio done so I can search for jobs but so far I haven't created a layout I like. Before next weekend I plan to be done though! :) But now onto polishes, which is the reason you got here in the first place ;)

This is the second time I'm showing Green Street, but I can clearly see that my photo skills have improved. It's a green polish I like and often use for nail art. When I look back I bought it at 2012 so it's not available today, be the color it self is pretty common. This is actually a one-coater creme, but as usual I have 2 coats on here with tc. And for more green manicures, head over to Green Wednesday.

Bought at HM for 29SEK in the LE section. (about 3 euro).

China Glaze - Metallic Muse, swatch

What about more silver toned colors? Metallic Muse is also from CG's fall/winter collection from 2009. This time the metallic silver leans towards green/teal or perhaps the popular color describing word; sea foam. The best part here is that also this one (showed another one yesterday) is a one-coater. If it's green enough for Green Wednesday I don't know, we'll see what Karin says. ;)

Also bought at 8ty8beuaty around when it was released.

China Glaze - Sci-Fi, swatch

Today I'm showing a polish from my mom's stash, archive nails, because when I'm at my parents place I usually borrow my mom's polishes (with permission of course).

Anyhow, Sci-Fi is from a fall/winter collection from 2009 but nevertheless not bad at all. I've been thinking of getting a bottle of my one several times but there's always so many polishes one wants. Sci-Fi is a 1-coater and has some brush strokes tendencies even though that doesn't bother me. The polish is almost chrome like, and the color is silver metallic going towards pink/purple or beige depending on the light. It's not 100% gray at least ever. I've also heard that is should be good for stamping which I'm definitely will try next visit at my parents! ;)

In sunlight.

Here is a close-up you can see how cool it looks when it's reflected by light.

This polish is bought from 8ty8beauty.com way back (2009/2010) when me and my mother shared a package.

My new favorite black and white one-coater brand!

Today I will talk about something very important in the world of nail art, namely black and white nail polish and their qualities. I think that the most important thing is that they are one-coater. This is important when making dots with a dotting tool or making sections colored. Especially when making precise and delicate work, one wouldn’t want to paint the area twice just because it isn’t opaque enough. And I also hate being forced to start with a certain color just because another one isn’t opaque. Another important issue which comes with the benefit of being one-coater is that they dry quickly and if you’re going to make something advanced it will take some time, and it’s unnecessary to increase that time making it doing many coats just achieving full opaqueness, giving longer drying time.

Of cause it is important that all colors are as opaque as possible, but for me I’ve found that white and black has been the most important one. It is also they, except base coat/top coat that I use the most and must consume the most. And for that reason I don’t mind them being cheap as well.

I’ve tried several of black and whites, and I’ve actually found my favorite. Black are mostly easier, some of the ones I’ve used has just demanded two coats. White has been more of a mess, more like four never drying thick coats mostly.

So for the brand I’m about to haul a bunch of in black and white:

Kleancolor – Black
Kleancolor – White
They are both one-coaters and has worked fine for me. When I apply I don’t use the thinnest coat but not the thickest either, just normal ones.

Hope this helps someone because I’ve searched for this for quite some time before I came across of Kleancolor.

I buy all my Kleancolor from ebay-seller: joy017.
The polishes are cheaper there than at for example beautyjoint. Shipping has been fast and everything has worked fine when I’ve bought things there. And also, a free gift in each package. ;)

An advantage purchasing from an ebay buyer is that they work hard for their feedback ratio, for me it feels safer buying from them since I would get my money back if the package wouldn’t arrive. :)
