Catrice - Polaroid Promises, swatch

Polaroid Promises is from Catrice's Luxary Vintage collection and it has a satin matte effect finish from the start. The color is nougat warm beige brown with bright magenta shimmer which gives a romantic feel when it's matte. Application wise this one is tricky, you need plenty of polish on
the brush (which thankfully isn't Catrices regular brush, which I don't like) because otherwise it looks streaky because it get surface dry very fast. With topcoat it feels like a whole other polish, it's darker, looks brown and where the shine hits, it looks pink, almost like a duochrome but still not. It needed 2 coats to cover.

What do you think about this one? Nougat feel or just meh?

2015 31DC2015 - Day 17; Glitter gradient in black and pink

I love glitter polish and those who know me, especially matte glitter polish. I also really like gradients, such as glitter gradients so it felt reasonable that I'm showing just that for day 17 - Glitter in the 31dc. This one is from the archive, when I used this Catrice polish I felt like making it a bit more edgy with black glitter. The pink polish and also some other in my stash I decided to swap away so it's no longer in my possession, it's really beautiful but I must say that I'm also happy about the polishes I got i exchange. :) I'll try to reduce my stash even more in the future, but I think it's hard, all of my polishes are my precious little first born babies. XD

2015 31DC2015 - Day 12; Wide b&w stripes with yellow dripping nail art

Day 12 and stripes is the on the agenda. I decided for this wide black and white stripes with yellow dripping nail art. I just love this color combo with black, white and yellow. <3

Catrice - Call Me Princess, swatch

An unusual purchase to be me, it's pink! ;) Basically I thought that Call Me Princess from their Crushed Crystal collection was a texture polish, similar to something Isadora had 2014. However, as it turned out, there is no noticeable grit! Surprisingly I liked this and the color shifting has a huge part of it. When angeling the nail I think the pink goes from gold, to warm light pink to dark hot pink in the edges. Basically it contains color shifting glass-flecks/tiny glitter ranging from pink to gold, all in a pink jelly base.It covered surprisingly well and I used 3 coats even though 2 could have been enough (the 3rd didn't make that big of a difference), there is some VNL going on but adding more coats doesn't hide it in this case. And I must say it shows a bit more in the pictures than IRL. The polish formula is good and covers fast however the brush is more of a wide "brom" even though I prefer wide over tiny brushes.

I think this picture shows the color shifts the best, darker hot pink going towards warm golden pink.

This last picture is the only picture taken with cellphone, it's also in the sun because I wanted to show how much CMP is glittering. ^^

Gold and green flower nail art

For this week's Green Wednesday I'm showing a simple flower nail art on a green Catrice polish I've showed before. I think the dark forestry green shade and the gold suits perfectly together. I also love when polishes are and looks this shiny on photos. <3

Here I have a polish I've got from the lovely Lakobotan. The polish is jelly like but very highly pigmented so I was surprised to see it cover in only 2 coats. I ended up using three coats in the end because I failed with my ring finger but the extra coat didn't make any difference coloring/covering wise. The color is is a rich dark forest like green, which never look black like some dark colors does. The formula is thin so it's easy to flood cuticles if you're not careful and removal was a tiny bit harder than normal due to the pigmentation, but being careful, that wasn't an issue. This is also my contribution to Green Wednesday. But seriously, look at that shine!!!
