Arrow silver funky french

Hi, here I have archive nails as usual, these are from september last year and I must embarrassing enough confess that I'm not sure what polishes I've used. Anyhow, I've started with a silver shimmer polish and then I've applied silver glitter on top, and then the black lines and the rhinestones. I can't decide if I like this or not? I'm not sure if I like the silver shimmer combined with the silver glitter topper, what do you think?

It's Nail Art Sunday with the not surprising theme "Christmas" ;) For me this upcoming Christmas is different, I'm working and the rain is pouring down right now. Usually I'm not working and usually there is lots of snow outside this time of the year. My new job changed a lot, my bf and I where planning to visit my parents in mid December and then I also planned bringing my Christmas decoration to the apartment, which never happened because I got this job and therefore there isn't a single thing in the apartment reminding me about Christmas, except my nails I guess. But I don't mind, it's not that important, we wont be home during Christmas anyhow.

What I'm showing today is a white and red nail art which is really simple in one hand but still very festive. It's a french manicure but with a high arrow like smiley and each "smiley" I've decorated with red rhinestones and on the accent nails I've added extra rhinestones and I guess we can imagine it to be some sort of Christmas ornament, right? I really liked this and hope you do too. :)

Gah! Such a late post today.. sorry for that. I wrote a lot yesterday about why I'm having this theme this week and the short version is that I've found some old stuff in the archive which doesn't always keep the same quality as I have now, but I'm still showing it here because some of the nail art really have some potential, for example I'm planning to re-make some of them in a soon future.

Today I'm showing a improvised arrow like manicure from January this year. It's not the best painting work or the best photos but I actually like the color combination and the arrow thing going on. This is one of those manicure I'd like to re-make and be inspired by in the future. :)

31DC2013 Day 1; Red arrow funky french

Hi, I kinda just decided that I wanted to participate in The 31 Day Challenge by Chalkboard Nails which happens to be one of my favorite bloggers. I missed the actual starting date which normally is on the 1st of September but I figured that it wouldn't matter that much. The reasons why I wanted to participate (except that I've wanted to do it before) are that I was forced to heavily shorten my nails and also that they just before I broke a bunch of them to the flesh also got extremely stained and therefore needed some extra push to keep my creativity. I've been been a bit down due to this a couple of weeks and they're still short (to be me) but I still wanted to challenge my self to try pulling this of. I'm not sure I'll manage to make one post each day but that's my ambition, however some theme days I might do double post or delay this challenge due to lack of time. That's the background story and this will be my day no.1 in this challenge. Everyone is free to join and the rules aren't any, just to "follow" the image below.

I wanted to start by doing something simple and ended up with a high funky french; the arrow style or what ever you'd like to call it. The red I'm using is a favorite amongst so many nail polish lovers, however I'm left pretty much untouched, I don't even own it, this is my moms polish and I'm not planning of buying one of my own. The nail art it self I really liked though and I'd love to wear it again.

Gala Nails stuffed with rhinestones and holo

It's Sunday, and lets skip Halloween, spiders, spider webs and pumpkins for awhile because it's Lela's nail art Sunday's with predetermined themes. The theme of this Sunday was "Gala".

As key words, my mind went to glamorous, large events, movie stars, red carpet, prom, large festivity, party, bling bling and editorial classical nails. I thought about french manicures and rhinestones. And very long nails, like Linda's from Lindas Nailorama got. However, I'm stuck with my own nails so this below is what I made. I actually made another one yesterday but realized that I'd missed the mark completely so I removed it and did this night time. :)

I don't know what to call it, it might be some sort of funky french with an "invisible" arrow.  :)

My thought was that the scattered holo could be translated into some sort of glamorous expensive long dress, silky rhinestoned all over. And maybe embellished with an open back with blue crystals. Neat and simple, yet luxurious (at least in my mind).

And amazingly the sun was shining to day allowing me to actually show you have it actually looks. In some light and pictures as you can see below the black appears more like a blackish shimmer, but I think that's cool too. :)

All pictures have one layer of topcoat over but I think I'll put one more to be able to keep this design on longer. :)
