Red matte glitter gradient on pastel blue

For this Nail Art Sunday I got a simple glitter gradient to show. Just recently I bought this matte glitter from Kleancolor and I really like this color combo! <3

The red glitter is called Poppy Field and consists of red matte hexagon glitter in three different sizes. The pastel blue is the texture polish from Kicks I recently showed you.

17th of May Norwegian flag nail art

Happy 17th of May! It's the Norwegian constitution day and I have some old archive nails to show you. The photos are actually from 2011 but I've been occupied and forgot about posting them every year until now.

Right hand.

Left hand.

I think it's fun to see the difference of my nails from now and then. At 2011 my nails just barely had started to maintain length with out peeling and breaking and I had a much rounder shape of my nails than I have now. I can also see that my right hand had much more uneven length than the left one. I'd also like to claim that my photo skills have improved a lot. ;)

Another thing, I've noticed that my new job takes a lot of energy and time for me so blogging time has been very limited. Currently it feels like I wake up, work, eat and sleep and some nights I haven't even started my computer. I'm still hoping that I'll get things more routine based because I have at least hundred of posts in my archive waiting to be posted but until I get things figured out there will be less posts here and less comments in your blogs.

Brazil Golden trumpet tree nail art

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wwBVSbdaMok/TbilHSOeBKI/AAAAAAAAADw/hmHczHkzYDo/s1600/2820847729_f43cca8559.jpgToday I'm showing country no. 24 in the Where In The World Challenge. The country in question is Brazil and I decided to make something not so predictable. I decided to get inspired by their national flower which actually is a tree. The flower is called "Golden Trumpet Tree", (see picture) and I did a very abstract version.

Linda Johansen - Slow Fox, swatch

Yesterday I showed you a rain inspired nail art and the base of that nail art I'll show you here. The polish in question is from the brand Linda Johansen and is called Slow Fox. The collection is called Nail Candy. I won this in a giveaway at Neglelakkmani last year but I haven't come around to use this one until now.

Slow Fox is a gray toned blue creme which covers in 3 coats. The brush isn't my favorite but that's the only negative detail. I like this color, it feels very versatile, when holding my nails to something gray, the polish seems blue and when holding something blue my nails look dead on gray (maybe not in these pictures but irl it is). ^^

Abstract rain nail art in black and blue

For today's Nail Art Sunday Lela has decided that the theme should be rain. Appropriate enough the end of the week has been rainy and gray. I decided to make my rain abstract with a glitter gradient on a gray toned blue color. I tried it first as shiny, which is looked great in and then I made it matte, which was even better. You'll see both versions below.

Do you prefer the shiny or the matte version?

Hare - Party Palace, swatch

Party Palace has a magenta colored jelly base filled with micro glitter in blue/purple/hot pink(?) and small square matte glitter in red and white. I needed 3 coats for it to cover (even though there probably is some vnl though the glitter hides it pretty well). The drying time was horrible, it dried super slow even with SV and three hours after application I damaged the surface which you'll see in the pictures.. I didn't like wearing this polish (maybe because I got so annoyed about the drying time and I was stressed out?) but I still think the composition is quite unique with the magenta, white and red which make me think of a petri dish with some dangerous bacteria growing.. ;)

What do you think about this polish? :)

OPI - Samoan Sand, swatch

Hi, finally Friday and I still haven't settled in my routines vs work and blogging.. But I still wanted to show you something. OPI - Samoan Sand was bought at H2T for nothing (they have a bunch of OPI's for like 3-4$) and my plan was to use it as french base however it's tiny bit too brown and maybe not jelly enough for that. You know, it is a streaky tendency, like half jelly. This is three coats and even though it looks natural and fresh in the pictures it's sligtly more warm pinkish brown comparing to what I prefer. I could guess it would cover in 4-5 coats for my long nails but in the pictures I got 3 coats. What do you think?

Kicks - The Trophics, swatch

Today is was my first day at my new summer work so which me luck ;) Had scheduled this post early this morning but blogger decided not to show it.. And I didn't have the time to check if it had posted before I left home, just assumed it would work..

Today I'm showing Kicks - The Trophics, which is something as unusual as a store bought polish, it's also pretty new so you can still find it in Kicks stores. The Tropics is a pastel blue texture with tiny holo glitter+bright blue tiny glitter(maybe it should be called shimmer?). I needed 3 coats but both the holo and the shimmer drowns in the pastel, even though it looked promising in the bottle. I like the color and it's my only creme pastel texture so far. The downside is that it's expensive, one bottle is 79sek, which is about 8 euro. If they would have been way cheaper I probably would have bought the whole collection, now I ended up with this and another one. For more blue polishes, check out Blue Monday.

Below you see 2 coats of tc and it gets fairly smooth and the holo/blue shimmer shows a bit more. In the bottle you can also see some of that blue shimmer more clearer. The "black glitter" you see in the bottle (if you look super close) is the holo glitter which reflects darkness.

What do you think? Got any more proposals of creme pastel textures like this?
