Simple Christmas scene nail art

Time flies, doesn't it? It's already time for no. 4 in the Christmas Challenge by LovingCosmetic which I'm participating in. The theme for no. 4 happens to be Christmas Scene and I was first not sure what to do. Then I started looking at different post card illustrations and decided to make something really simple and in blue and white. It's as you can see more winter like than Christmas like, but I liked it this way. Hope you do too.:) This also happens to be blue enough so I'll make a late contribution to Blue Monday.

Hope you'll have a nice Friday! :)

Pink snow flake nail art

Hi, since Pink Thursday has a theme this week I felt inspired to join. The theme was actually the swedish/danish Christmas song called "nu är det jul igen", which would translate into "it's Christmas again" but I decided to make a free interpretation. I went from Christmas to winter and to snowflake and ended up with pink snowflakes on a white background embellished with pink rhinestones. Pretty cool right? Feminine but still cute. :)

Dodwell nail polish (green), swatch

I like testing out new brands and when a woman in a nail polish facebook group sold a whole bunch of polishes she had bought in Thailand I grabbed all the greens available. Here below is one of them and the brand is Dodwell nail polish. If the color has a name I don't know since the back is in thai. Anyhow, thisis a green shade I really like (haha like the majority of greens..) since it is a green going towards yellow and I like the gold like shimmer in it. I used three coats and I'd say that the finish could be something between shimmer and chrome. There's a brush stroke tendency but I'm not bothered by that, but it do requires attention when painting it. If I happy I got it? Definitely and especially since the price was so nice! :) Do you like it?

Also, if you want to check out more green polishes, the blogger Vacker&Underbar has a theme day called Green Wednesday where a collage of lots of green polishes from different bloggers will be shown during the day.

Snowman nail art

Now I'm back to business, more or less at least. ;) With my new part time job I must make sure to be efficient to be able to get time for everything I want, like blogging and nail related stuff. I'd also like to thank you all for all the nice comments I've got, yesterday I answered 66 comments which had dropped in here while I was gone. <3

Today I'm showing you the 3rd theme in Loving Cosmetic's Christmas Challenge which is "snowman".
For this I freehanded a snowman on my ring finger and made an inverted gradient with a polish called "Melted Snowman" from the brand Ninja Polish. I've actually done a similar nail art last year which you can see HERE. For the glitter gradient I had to dab the brush a lot but I think it came out kinda cool. On top I have 2 coats of Seche Vite to make the surface smooth. I also couldn't resist making them matte which you'll see in the end. As you can see I've also actually cut my nails 4-6 mm's yesterday so now I'm rocking much shorter nails but I think the snowman nail art worked anyhow or what do you think? Which one did you like the best, matte or shiny? :)

I just love the subtle shimmer in Melted Snowman combined with the white and black hexes in different size and the string glitter in orange and brown. Christmas and winter like and fun. :D

Update; personal

Hi, I'm sorry for not being able to do any blog posts, answer comments etc. Here you'll see the reasons;

As I mentioned before I had a lot of things to do with my part time job and 75% studies (exams and deadlines coming up) and my bf's birthday. But then I was offered an additional part time job too..and my schedule exploded.. So I'll probably wont have time to check in here until Monday. It sucks but I can't afford the luxury of free time this weekend.

Hope to see you soon though. I'll be back. Cross your fingers that I'll be able to be super efficient and everything will go according to plan. :)

ZTIZ nail polish (red), swatch

I feel so occupied for the moment so today will be a quick post. I'm behind answering comments and reading blogs again but of course work, studies and life in general (my bf turns 30 this week and I must prepare for that) is more important.

Today I'm showing red (it's Red Tuesday!) and I realize that I have way too few good red polishes. I'd really like to have a good one-coater creme red, which I don't have at the moment.

Today I'm showing a red polish from the brand ZTIZ nail polish. It's a budget brand bought for 10 SEK (which is as you remember like 1€, £0,8 or $1,45) at Dollarstore(shop here in Sweden). Unfortunately I don't know the number of this polish since the bottle has some wear and tear (think I bought it like that). This polish has some jelly tendencies and as you can see in the pictures there's a slight vnl but it doesn't show at all because this baby is super glossy which hide the vnl irl. I remember I used 3 coats for this with a normal drying time. It's a super elegant polish and HERE you can see my latest nail art with it.

Do you know any good one-coater red creme polishes? Then tell me in the comment section ;) Take care!

Christmas Ornament funky french nail art

As you might have seen I'm joining a Christmas Challenge by LovingCosmetics and the theme between 2/12-8/12 is Christmas decoration. I decided to do a twist of my popular balloon funky french I did some time ago. I pretty much implemented "Christmas colors" and changed the balloons to be the Christmas Ornaments. I really liked the result even though this version has darker colors. Hope you like it too :) (Sorry for the bad pictures, don't know what happened..)

Tried it in matte too, but I think I preferred the shiny version.
