For this lovely autumn Monday I have a sloping funky french with butterflies. I think it's cute and the base color feels very autumn like, the butterflies feel summery..but what the heck. :D Enjoy!
More focus to the base color. I really like this color, it's like a brown color combined with a hint of dark wine red and then filled with some sort of pink/copper shimmer. I also got an exact dupe from Isadora of this but I can't find that bottle right now so you'll have to live with a dupe without a name.

Poisonous dart frog meets giraffe inspired nail art
hihi, I love the title; poisonous dart frog meets giraffe inspired nail art, that's pretty much how I interpret this nail art design. :D
The actual occasion for this is because of nail art Sunday with predetermined themes, and this time the theme was "zoo". My first thought when I read that was to make a zebra/tiger nail art and/or a leopard nail art, but honestly I make them all the time and I wanted to challenge my self. I've seen several giraffe nail arts and I've really liked them but never tried them on my self. I've also been meaning to try making a vertical gradient which I also never have tried before. This above in combination with some makeups shortylegsbeauty have done inspired by poison dart frogs; an idea developed and well, pretty much resulted in this:
I really like that I got the colors correct in the photos so that you can really see what I see (almost).
I really hope you liked it because I sure did! And it took like forever making all the random spots which I also afterwards think was worth it ;)

Blue gradient with black stripes
For this Saturday I have archive nails to show you, with non the less my favorite effect polish(!). My favorite is Paris Memories, but sadly I have no name of it since Paris Memories only has numbers on a paper piece at the side of the bottle which gets rubbed of instantly. I have the name/number only on few of my Paris Memories because of that.
But let's go to the nail art. I've made a gradient of a very dark blue, then added my Paris Memories effect polish over it to make a cool effect from the naked nail to the dark blue and then I painted black stripes over the whole thing.
At this point I'm not sure if I like the black stripes or not but at least it a fun idea if you don't just want to make a gradient.
And I finish of with bottle pictures. As you can see it's in a pink clear base, however when painting it over white it doesn't turn the polish into pink, what you see is the heavy amount of almost transparent glitter which glitters in a spectra from blue to purple, but there's also glitter which glitter the whole rainbow in it, so I also see some red, orange, pink and green glitter as well. But it's the most beautiful over black, almost making a star night over the nails.
However, my bottle is half empty and I can't get this anymore so I wonder if any one might know a dupe for this?

Rock it with 3MM gold square stud rhinestones!
I've been drooling looking at metal stud rhinestones for some time now and when Born Pretty Store asked me to review the studs, the answer was simple. I'm that kind of girl who likes studs on clothing, shoes and jewelry making it edgy so adding them on my nails where a natural step. I knew I wanted to make something unique, edgy and with some sort of rock twist and googled around to see what others had made and realized that there weren't that many variations of nail art with it.
Since my square stud rhinestones where in gold I decided to use gold, white and black nail polish in my nail art design. I also wanted to make a nail art with many accent nails but still very connected to each other and this is what I came up with:
Above is my left hand with the brittish flag in gold, white and black on my thumb and middle finger. On my index finger I have a black base with a golden gradient starting from the rot of the nails and embellished with the gold square studs. On my ring finger I have a white base and a golden gradient starting from the tip of the nail and then embellished with the golden studs as well. I really like how this came out! :D
Above is my right hand and as you can see, there's one brittish flag nail and three black nails with the golden gradient and one white nail with a golden gradient.
Also worth mentioning is the gold, which is Catherine Arley - 807.."aah holographic polish" you might think, however mine is from the less holographical batch and this barley got any holo in it, however I think that it looks amazing in the gradient over black and white and I believe that's all because of the holo in it creating depth.
Below you can see the bag I got and as you can see there's a fair amount of metal stud rhinestones in it! This is the one filled with gold studs, the thing appearing silver is the background of the studs which of cause hasn't been painted gold.
And application wise, I used base coat and then one layer of black and two layers of white polish because they just needed that to cover. After that I'd applied one coat of top coat on one finger at the time and used a dotting tool (dipped in some top coat) and placed my square stud rhinestones where I wanted them. I think that it's important to really press down the rhinestones into the polish so no edges sticks up. Then I applied two cots on top coats to seal in the design. I think these just mentioned steps are very important when using these 3MM square studs because otherwise they will likely get stuck in some sweater fall off! And we wouldn't want that, would we? I believe that it's better with 2MM's if you have very curved and slim nails.
I wore this nail art for 5 days to really check how the metal studs worked and as you can see from the picture below, some tear and wear shows. The golden color of the studs has gradiently turned into silver at the tips however a part of me thinks it looks cool and I guess that it could be prevented with top coat every other day.

Red flower pedicure
They don't appear often but sometime they do; my toes and their nail art. Sadly no clean up but I hope we can live with that and instead look at the nail art.
On all nails I've made stripes and I've accented the big toes with flowers and also added moon and star shaped rhinestones in the middle of the flower.
I like how this came out, especially the black lines outlining everything and I also don't mind left and right being different.
I actually don't remember what brand the blue base is but I'll give you the rest.

Dotted gradient in silver on dark blue shimmer
Here I have what's suppose to be a dotted gradient. You know, when you start making the dot line with lots of polish on, making large dots and then keep dotting until you've got less polish on and the dotting tool makes small dots.
The base color of this is a very dark blue shimmer which you can see better on the last picture with flash. And the dots are in silver. I really liked this look and want to do it again some time soon. :)

Black dotted copper funky french
Here I have a simple nail art that I think is awesome! I like the color combination of Miss Sporty, which in my eyes, is the perfect copper color! Perhaps dreadful if you would wear it all over the nails but perfect for this I think. I also made a bronze line to straighten up my tip line and then the dots painted diagonally over that.
I finish of with the nails and some roses :) Lovely right?

Flower and leaf fimo nail art on gold glitter funky french
For this monday I have a holo gold glitter funky french with flower and leaf fimos. I also have some pearl rhinestones on the accent nails.
My opinion is that the idea is good, but for some reason my nails look really yellow in the pics, discolored perhaps in combination with bad light? And that spoils it for me. In normal circumstances I love fimos and holo gold glitter tips. I actually have another one of these with holo gold glitter tips and blue flowers somewhere in the archive that I like better.
Polish and material:
Sure Promise (holo gold glitter)
Fimos (flowers and leafs)
1MM pearl rhinestones (light green)

Classical french manicure with yellow rhinestones
At my blog I almost always tend to show nail art every day, despite that, I participate in Lelack's Nail Art Sunday. And from now on my Sundays will be funnier since we will have nail art sundays with predetermined themes. The theme of this Sunday is "Fransk Manikyr" or French Manicure in English.
This is my contribution:
A french manicure is always white, if it isn't white, it's a funky french so for this manicure I was strict and went with white tips and to spice it up I used yellow crystal rhinestones. I placed a 3MM rhinestone in the middle of all nails and used 1MM rhinestones filling up the rest of the tip line, almost making a small necklace out of it.
Honestly yellow rhinestones aren't my favorite, and I think this is the first time ever (!) I've used them. I got them since I always order like 10 colors of rhinestones and then I get yellow ones as well even though I don't want them. But I don't mind since it's cheaper that way.
This was as I already have said a bit unusual for me, very classical and no extreme colors.
Polishes used:
Kleancolor - White
W7 - Pink Opal (with blue pearl shimmer)

Zebra print and rhinestones in green, silver, red and black
For this Saturday I have manicure in dark green, red, black and silver with a bunch of rhinestones and zebra stripes on the top (or tip?). So let's have a look.
On the thumbs and ring finger I've placed the larger 3MM rhinestones while the rest is 2MM rhinestones. I've painted my nail all green first, then I've made the sloping tips in silver and after that I've used fine liners in black and in red to make the zebra stripes. As you see the red is just on the ring finger and if you look closely you can see the glitter that I've placed near the rhinestones.

Checked sloping funky french in black, white and silver
Here's a nail art I really like. I love the color scheme; silver, black and white and some silver glitter. It also contains accent nails with stamping nail art. Sadly I was too quick to immortalize this look so there is no clean up! So shame on me and hope you can some how disregard that detail. :)

(Konad nail polish - white) for stamping.
And furthermore, do you have any opinion about bottle pictures used in a manicure like in this post? Does it help/give something or doesn't it matter? Now I have a lot of archive manicure where I don't have bottle pictures but I could try to capture them in the future if there's some interest for it. :)
