More polishes from China Glaze's Glitz-Bitz ‘n’ Pieces Collection, and this time Scattered & Tattered.

 The formula was great and this is one coat. This means that this one and the blue Mosaic Madness where the ones with best formula only requiring one coat, whilst the other ones have required two coats.

 The polis have 3 sizes of red shiny hex glitters and 4 sizes of black matte hex glitter and black string glitter. Pretty much like the others.

 I liked this polish but next time I'll layer it over something else than yellow. Maybe something contrasting color like blue would be cool.

Green Wednesday at Vacker&Underbar, and I'm in. :)

I'm continuing showing polishes from China Glaze's Glitz-Bitz ‘n’ Pieces Collection, and this time it's Grafitti Glitter.

This one had a thinner formula comparing to the blue Mosaic Madness, and therefore required two coats instead of one to get the same result.

 The base as for all of these polishes in this collection is clear. This one also have 3 sizes of emerald green shiny hex glitters and 4 sizes of black matte hex glitter and black string glitter.

Natural light.

 Basically I really like this combination. Next time I'll try it out with a lighter green to layer it over.

Hi! Blue Monday at Lindas Nailorama and that means blue, even double up with blue!

Today I'll show one of my favorites from China Glaze's Glitz-Bitz ‘n’ Pieces Collection, namely Mosaic Madness.

This is one coat over the light blue HM - Norwegian Sky, which I showed here before. The formula was superb.

I really liked this combination, the polish feels very edgy in my eyes, like if it's a cool punk rock girl having this on her nails (if they weren't black as I suspect they would have?)

My boyfriend also even commented on this one; "this could be one of the best good looking manicures you've ever worn" and he doesn't even like blue(!) and almost never comment on my nails.

This polish contains 3 sizes of sapphire blue shiny hex glitters. 3 sizes of black matte hex glitter and black string glitter. The other polishes in the collection also got one more size of black hexagons, very large ones and maybe this one got them too but I didn't find any this time at least.

Shiny vs. texture; Android nail art

Hi!
Long time no see. And I'm late participating in Lelack's Nail Art Sunday too, but better late than sorry or how it's said? :) The theme this Sunday was the tricky "operating system". I was pretty sure what I wanted to do, especially since I've received some new polishes.

 As you can see I decided for an Android accent nail. I also wanted a texture vs. shiny effect.

The texture polish is called In The Rough and is from China Glaze's texture collection. It's a avocado green shade which needed two coats for full coverage. On my ring finger I've used HM - I'm Not A Kiwi which irl got almost if not the same color as In The Rough. In this photos the color of my ring finger seems very off and the texture color seems correct color wise.

Above is my right hand which I left without accent, mainly because of lack of time. This is my first try of the texture polishes from China Glaze and I must say I like them, way more than OPI's Texture collection! Drying was normal-fast considering that I couldn't use SV on top. ;)

Alive but still absent..

This has been the longest time of absence ever in blog posts here at Gelic' nail art.

For those of you following my blog I can calm you that it's not permanent but right now I'm completely drowned with school work and volunteer work/regular work and I have almost no time for anything nail related. No naked nails though.

Positive things is that after this Monday my volunteer work/regular work will be finished. My school work will continue so time wise it will take a lot of time, the positive thing is that it's fun (doing my diploma thesis!).

Hopefully I'll get time tonight preparing to participate in Lelacks Nail Art Sunday.

Hope you're all doing fine and I'll let you know when I'm back.

Holographic water marble

Hi! It's Lelack's Nail Art Sunday! If you're in to nail art you'd better drop over there later tonight and check out the link list of todays nail art. The theme this week was free so I'm showing a water marble.

I intended it to look very different from this but I really liked the result anyhow. It felt very metallic and occasionally holographic.

And as you might have guessed, my intention was that the black was suppose to be creme and the holo just holo silver.

 I'll make a new try of this soon. :)

Neon Stripes nail art.

Here I have a "work in progress"-nail art. Often when I make nail art's they look good in the process too. So then I were the "half ready nail art for some day or two. Below is an example of that:

Both are outdoor photos and sadly it was a cloudy and gray day, not showing the full potential of the bright and shiny neons. Both neons are from China Glaze Summer Neons Collection for summer 2012.

I really liked this color combination with neon pink and neon coral with bright pastel blue.

I'm Not A Banana over Everybody Loves Penguin

I just remembered that I said at easter time that I'd layered I'm Not A Banana over something and here it is.

As base I've used Pretty and Polished - Everybody Loves Penguin (click the link to see a swatch).
And layered is Pretty and Polished - I'm Not A Banana (click the link to see a swatch).

 I used two coats of INAB over ELP to really get the jellow color out over the white.

I must say I liked this combination where the large hexagons from ELP shine through making the manicure interesting. I'm also sure INAB would look great over just a white creme, pastel yellow or regular yellow creme too.

I really like how pale the yellow looks, it's almost like a pastel but more glazed with the jelly going on. :)

needme PARIS Nail Polish

I showed you guys a needme PARIS Nail Polish yesterday and during my time writing my blog I've showed some more of them so I figured I'd show everyone of all of the ones I got in one post for you to see. :)

As I mentioned before this is a budget brand bought from ebay and I've bought them from £0,99-£1.39.

The green one above was the first one I bought and also the one which turned out to be the best.

 A cold nuance of yellow creme above.

Above is a bright neon jelly orange. Since it's so sheer being a jelly I've used it in nail arts in gradients and such as the photo to the left.

Above is a nude nuance, maybe it could be called a pastel orange?

Above I want you to look at the brown. I sadly don't have any better swatch of it, but it's a light warm brown shiny creme looking like nougat.

Above is a glitter polish in a clear base.

 In the above manicure It's both the yellow and the pink. I've actually not used the pink more than here as sponged. But I think I should since it's a nice bubble gum pink colored creme.

Here are the ones I've got except for two more, the green and the glitter one showed in this post.

needme PARIS Nail Polish - 12, swatch

Today we're looking at 12... Hum, that thing about numbers as name on nail polishes.. Let's start over, for this Green Wednesday by Vacker&Underbar I'm showing an avocado green nail polish from needme PARIS Nail Polish - 12.

This lovely green creme is a bargain from ebay (like 20SEK when I bought it) with a great formula. It almost cover in one coat but I used two here to really make it cover.

Color accuracy is not perfect, the photos makes the color a bit too bright and I think that the photo below is the best one. I would describe the color to be avocado green, you know a green with yellow in it and also some brown something making it a bit "dirty" looking and not super bright. I've showed this before in a green funky french and I think that the color should be something in between these photos and the old ones.

I guess this is the best one in the bunch from needme PARIS Nail Polish (or what they're called, that what the bottle says at least). I bought this one first and then bought a bunch of others which had less good (3 coats) formula than this.

Sloping funky french with dots and rhinestones

How about some nail art this Tuesday? I think so any how and I'll show you some archive nails.

As you can see it's a sloping light blue shimmer funky french with white dots and rhinestones forming a half or perhaps quarter flower. I liked this nail art and would like to remake it some day with new colors. :)

HM - Norwegian Sky

It's Monday and why not show a blue polish then when I got them in the archive? If you want to check out more blue polishes this Monday, I'd go visit Lindas Nailorama and her Blue Monday theme where she'll show links on anyone showing blue nail polish later today.

Norwegian Sky is a pastel blue shade with a hint of yelloy/green in it. It also has some blue glassflecks. First I thought it was shimmer but there I was wrong. :) or was I now? confused haha ;)

The glassflecks didn't show so much on the nails as in the bottle as you can see above but they did ad to the polish.

The formula was the weirdest I ever tried. Seriously like sour-milk or youghurt. Like if it's too powder-filled or something. It's not streaky in the way pastels usually are, more like if it are fat lumps in it, like sour milk... Below is one coat.

I tried two ways of painting it. One thin coat and then one thick and it almost covered, or at least good enough. But for me the best way was to use three thin coats. Top coat was a must to even the weird formula out.

I like the main color though, despite the formula, but when I thought about it I remembered that I maybe had a dupe, but a shimmer one, also from HM and I'll make a comparison of them later. :)
