For this Saturday I decided to pick something from the archive. Some time I like recreating my manicures, but perhaps in other colors and this is one of those. I liked the original version much better, that one felt icy and cool but maybe you prefer this version?
Anyhow, a problem with this time was that I was too stressed out and didn't let the base gradient dry enough which made the crackle drag the underlying polish some. I also think that I let the pink gradient go too far over the nude. Anyhow, I'll try the other colors too as soon as I got time. :)
Polishes used:
Isadora - Latte queen (crackle)
Kleancolor - Sheer Pastel Cocoa
Kleancolor - Metallic Pink

Kleancolor - Holo Chrome, swatch/layering
The name of this is Holo Chrome but as you can see it's not a real holo as all the other "holo's" from Kleancolor. But I'd definitely say that this is my favorite from that collection. And I also know that Skimmerskuggan is very forgiving for participants for Holo Friday. ;) Don't forget to check her out at the end of the day/tomorrow since "holo polisher" will be linked there. :)
For some reason I didn't photograph the bottle but Holo Chrome contains of fine chrome like glitter (you know that blueish cold toned silver color) and also a whole bunch of fine prismatic glitter, all in a blue transparent base. As it is a glitter it doesn't present any real rainbows but it's still beautiful. I have used it in some nail art's before but never on it's own, yet anyhow. Coverage is great, below is two coats over a black creme. I really like this combination, I like it both in lamp light, sun light and also in shadow when the "holo" has disappeared.
What do you think? Have you got this one from Kleancolor or any of the other from the "Holo collection"?

Gradient mesh nail art in blue, green and purple
Today I'll show a nail art I did for a nail art competition by Isadora, it's no longer possible to send contributions but the vote's are up. Here's a link to Isadora's website where the contest is (and it's also possible to see all entries there) and I'll also give you a link to my entry, even though I think you should vote at the one you like the best.
However, like Zara from Traces of polish and also a few other bloggers/competitors have said, I probably never would have participated if I knew that the votes where based on facebook-likes. I read through all the rules before participating but that was apparently a secret until after the voting started. Now it has become to be a popularity contest with reminiscent from middle school at the gym and being picked last (as Zara pointed out). There's a lot of really good entries that almost haven't got any votes, especially the earlier ones. And another thing I dislike is that the ones who noticed this competition early (not me) and sent their entry's early gets punished for it because the first page only show the last entries and to be able to see the other ones you have to click "older" and there's about 5 slow loading pages to go through. Now maybe some of you will find me silly but I guess I'm old fashion in that way. I'd rather would have seen it to be a lottery where everybody has an equal chance or at least that all entry's was shown at the same page and the voting was anonymous.
BUT, let's move on to the actual nail art. I've grown attached to striping tape and this time I decided to remake this mesh nail art but with only three colors and I decided for no underlying gradient. Here or in the pages above you can find a tutorial which works for this one too. I picked an aubergine colored purple, a cobalt blue and mint green shade and I think that the colors looks unusual and cool together. I tried alternating each nail to get different looks and I liked the result. I also painted pearl rhinestones with the polishes and attached them on to accent nails but I think they got too big, I should have choose a smaller rhinestone. The pictures with the best color accuracy are the ones without flash but I wanted to include the two-hand-poses too. And as usual I hope you like it. :)
Polishes used:
Isadora - 739 Surfers Paradise
Isadora - 176 Creamy Aubergine
Isadora - 755 Pistacchio
4 MM painted pearl rhinestones
And speaking about competitions I actually won some polishes (by lottery haha..) that I haven't tested yet but I'll show you the bottles later today I hope. Take care!

China Glaze - Gaga For Green, swatch
Today I have a green polish from China Glaze to show. I guess many people have seen this before and it's from the Electropop Collection from 2012. The formula is a bit thin and it feels like a jelly but it surprised me by covering in two coats. It's very shiny on it's own (even though I got tc in the pictures), dried fast and I love the color, it's not too bright and not too pale, it's like if this polish could be hidden in nature and would fit perfectly if you know what I mean? It doesn't feel artificial. It's probably more of a summer shade but I made it easy for my self today and dug into my archive because it's Vacker&Underbar's Green Wednesday today.
This is also the polish I used as a base for my Halloween Zombie nails :) It looks pretty great in matte too.

Red tulip funky french for Hungary
While I'm at it I might as well try show the few WITW-post I got in the archive. I had a plan to be done with this challenge before 2014 but we'll see.. Country no. 11 is Hungary and I really had to rub my head backwards until I knew what I wanted to do. Apparently Tulip's are the national flower for Hungary (I would have bet money that it was the national flower for the Netherlands though!). I therefore started google for tulip nail art and found the most adorable tulip nail art ever and I knew I wanted to redo it, but as a funky french, I don't like showing my smiley's naked.. I also used a red jelly glittery glowing polish which I think worked so great with the opaque white. I seriously liked this and there'll be more tulips going on here in the future! ;)
And again, if Malin at Nerd Colours approves this for her Red Tuesday I'm in! :)
Polishes used:
Depend (base jelly like polish)
Color Club Art Club - Red Glitter
L.A. Colors Art Deco - White

Abstract matryoshka doll nail art for Russia
I think it's time for another day in the Where In The World Challenge and country no. 10 is Russia. I went the easy way and decided to make matryoshka dolls (I even found a graphical picture to be inspired by but somehow the picture has disappeared). I decided for non traditional Russian colors and made the whole thing in baby blue and black. I don't know if I'm that content with the end result, I've seen much more realistic dolls but mine are made abstract and so it is. Hope you like it anyhow. :)
And you know what, if Tove approves this to be blue enough I'm in for for Blue Monday. :)
As usual I tried it both shiny and matte.
Polishes used:
China Glaze - Bahamian Escape
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Sky Blue
Nordic Cap - NP12

Zig zag nail art in black and silver
Hi Lovelies! It's Sunday and it feels like if I've saved everything that I had to do this week until today, I wonder how I'll be able to do those 40 h at this 24 hour day.. Well it's not that bad but that how it feels.
Sunday also means something more pleasant, namely Nail Art Sunday at Lelack. This week the theme is free so I decided to show a nail art I did a week ago. Inspired by Traces Of Polishes who showed the zig zag technique at here blog, I knew I wanted to do the same. My problem was that I didn't have any zig zag scissors so I had to wait until I found one. And Zara's version was like a trillion times better than mine... I used a metallic polish and apparently it decided to do some reflective curling (you know when it look curly even though it's completely flat). And then it's that thing about cutting straight lines.. I liked my color combination, but not the fact that it doesn't look so smooth. However this is absolutely not the last time I'll try this technique and I might also try to do a tutorial for this if you want. My scissor set also contained a lot of other patterns than the zig zag pattern so there's a lot of opportunities for fun nail art looks with this! :D

Blogger Friendship Award / Premio dell'amicizia Blogger
And while I'm at rewards I've also received an award called the Blogger Friendship Award from Oh No, Not Another Nail Art Blog!. She gave it to me a month ago and I figured that I should do it too while I'm doing rewards.
The rules are simple; Tell 7 things about your self and then nominate 7 blogs (with less than 200 followers).
My 7 things about my self (again today):
The rules are simple; Tell 7 things about your self and then nominate 7 blogs (with less than 200 followers).
My 7 things about my self (again today):
- My first holographic polish ever was from the OMG-collection, and was 2NITE.
- I think I've told this before but I love drawing, sketching and painting.
- I did my whole upper secondary school (when being about 16-19, the three years before university) in English (english lectures and books etc) and according to the national standard instead of the regular Swedish system which means that my grades look different to many other's even though they're translatable between each other.
- I store my polishes in 2 Helmers from IKEA, however all drawers aren't filled and some contain makeup and other random stuff.
- Lately I've been totally stoked about the houndstooth pattern, both in nail art and clothing. :)
- I like watching films and tv series in many genres (but I don't like drama/love comedy's as much as other genres). My bf finds it weird that I know all the "geeky" sci-fi film/series references in TBBT..
- I love avocados!
The versatile blogger award :D
During November I've received the The versatile blogger award from La Gazelle , Creativenails4fun and The polished cowgirl!
I'm so happy to receive the award so thank you girls! <3 I also recommend everyone to take a look at their blogs! They all show beautiful nail art's and post nail polish review now and then, the same as I do and they're all worth a visit. <3

Here are the rules:

Here are 7 things about me:
Sorry for today's ûber late post but I've been adding stuff to this post all day whilst doing other stuff and now I'm done. LOL. Now I'll go tell everyone on the list I've nominated them. As usual I think it's free and up to you if or when you want to do the whole award or parts of it. :D
- My eyes are green.
- I have no problem traveling all alone across Europe with flight/train (been there done that) etc but for some reason the local buss in my city freaks me out. I prefer walking or talking my bike even though the distance is long.
- I think I've mentioned this before but I almost never buy/eat hamburgers, pizza or any fast food or pre-prepared food/baked stuff, I'm not that into crisps/chips and I'm not sure the last time I drank soft drink.
- This has also been mentioned before but I love cooking and baking, from scratch of cause.
- My store-bought burden is chocolate and the "pick and mix"-candy which is so popular here in the north of Europe (I just read that Sweden, Finland, Norway and England were in the top of eating this kind of candy).
- My favorite season is summer (if it's warm) and I'm not that into Christmas, it often feels pretentious with all the business of comparing "price tags" of the gifts.
- I have a huge fascination of jewelery, not the expensive stuff. My favorite is differents kind of rings. Must show them some time. :)

Abstract nail art in red, blue and black
Yesterday I was too tired to schedule and today I've been busy until now. I was actually at an job interview during this morning, not to a job I actually want but hey, money is money and Christmas is coming.. Today I'll show you a brand new nail art, a NOTD and also what I wore to the interview. I wanted something classical (I decided to try the red Claudia I showed you yesterday; 607 as base) and with some tiny decoration which fell on Pretty&Polished and this is what I ended up with:
(And yea, the pictures are crappy and why you'll see at the bottom of this post...)
Polishes used:
Claudia - 607
Pretty and Polished - Boy Bleu
Jordana pop art - Black Mark
I adored the color combination with the classical red and the neon blue and black. I wasn't going to change my manicure until tomorrow at the earliest but during mid day I noticed that all nail polish was missing on my right index finger! When I got home I noticed that the nail polish seemed loose on all nails so I had to quickly photograph them in simple florescent lamp light, otherwise everything would be ruined, which is the reason why the color is a bit off to reality, the top picture is actually the most color accurate and I've already photographed 607 alone in correct light so you'll see that later. After I was done I was able to peel off all nail polish on all nails, mostly i large pieces. Normally nail polish sticks well to my nails so I hope it isn't Claudia's fault but I'll look into that (will try a new Claudia to night).
Is there any brand which make your nails peel or is it just coincidence? Any one who's tried Claudia and experienced this? And also, what did you think about the manicure? Too daring for a job interview?
