I actually had an idea from the start, I just love houndstooth pattern.. and guess what, my suspicion seemed correct since the pattern seems to originally come from UK (from a quick google session). I've free handed houndstooth pattern before (not showed here at the blog though) So I thought it would be fun to do it here as well, (since full nail stamping isn't my forte yet). On top of that I decided for some union jack flags as accents. First I was thinking of making the whole thing according to the flag; red, white and blue but then I thought that it would be funnier if everything went pale and pastel like, so I changed the red to pastel purple and the blue to pastel blue. I really like the result and I hope you do too. I know I have some Anglophiles and english people reading my blog so I hope you'll find it fun! :D

DeleteThis is beautiful! I really love that you shock our flag up, its so unique! Isn't it terrible that I'm English and didn't even know that England created houndstooth? Durr :) I really love the soft subtle colours you picked too and the beads make me think of the Queen for whatever reason! The houndstooth is also perfect I must say! <3 Proper job, fancy a spot of tea? :)

I didn't think about the pearls and the queen but now when you said it I think so too. And yes, tea is my favorite beverage, bring it on! ;)
