Collection 2000 - 184, swatch

It's going to get seriously pink next week when United In Pink starts, but I wanted to start a bit earlier since it seems like I have more pink polishes than I thought. Since I like being prepared I started with pink polishes and pink nail art right after the 31DC and well I have a bunch to show now.

This polish is from Collection 2000 and is called 184. It's much of a budget brand and I bought it and a bunch of other polishes at ebay for a dollar or less each. 184 is super sheer and could work as a base for french manicures and on the pictures I have 5 coats. The color is light pink, (pastel?) almost bubble gum colored and the finish is shimmer. I actually liked it even though it feels very girly and feminine, I didn't keep it like this for long and you'll see later what I did to spice things up.

And yea, have you noticed the length of my nails? I cut them down right after the challenge because I had a glued broken nail on my dominant nail and I wanted to cut it down so I'd only would have "healthy" nails left. It also feels fresh to sometime (especially pre winter) cut all nails down even though it feels short it's better than breaking them to nubs during the winter. I also dig the the straight shape on them, I must get a proper nail file so I can keep them more like that even if they get longer. And also, today it's Pink Thursday where more ladies will publish pink today.

Do you have any Collection 2000? In that case, do you like them? Did you like this color? Do you prepare your nails for the winter, like cutting them down some or starts some extra caring routine?

  3. This shade is sooo pretty! Love it! Plus your nails look amazing, I love this shape on you <3 As for winter... not anything special, I'm using oils and balms all year round, and when my nails are ok, I don't shorten them^^ Only last year I had to cut them down a bit, they were growing pretty fast and healthy, but I had problems with gloves, hahaa :D :D My nails were too long and didn't fit in :D :D And I can't survive winter without gloves on, way too cold and freezing for my hands!

    1. Thank you! :D I do the same as you, if they're okay I don't have to shorten them but now I felt that I had to. hahah, you must have seriously long nails if you hands didn't fit your gloves ;) haha don't you have a blog? Your profile didn't say anything :)

    2. Well, I've had quite long nails then, but also the gloves had short fingers :D Now I'm trying to keep them in medium length^^ And about the blog... I don't have one yet, but I'd love to make a blog. During summer my nails were quite a mess, breaking all the time and now they seem to grow back, still I'm trying to find the courage to start a blog :D

    3. Ah, I see. Long nails can be beautiful but it's easier to have some sort of medium length. :D
Ah, you should! Just think about a cool name and get started, blogger's blog portal is also very simple to use! ;) And you don't have to post daily either. Please tell me if you start one and I'll be your follower! :D :D :D

    4. Well yay, for me it is :D Even if I'd love to have long nails all the time, it's hard... especially when I'm at work or during winter as I said :D (Plus on Christmas, when I do all the Christmas sweets, I hate when the pastry gets under my nails, worst feeling ever :D :D)
Awww, really? You would be interested? That's soo sweet of you! It makes me a bit more confident now :D You're so nice *-*

    5. Yea, it's the same for me too, I wish I could have long nails all the time but it's not possible. Haha, I love making sweets too, and I hate everything and anything that gets under my nails! Feels disgusting! ;) Nail brushes are a bless! lol ;)

  5. It's very pretty! but 5 coats??! oh that's too much for me, I'm so impatient, but did it dry really fast?

    1. Haha, yes five seems like a lot but it did dry fast. When the polish is that sheer it's also very thin so with SV it dried in no time. :)
