Old archive nails: Taped mani with dots

Hi there!
As many of you've noticed, I 99% of the time show archive photos here at my blog. My archive is huge, even though it's getting emptier, many times I wear my nail art's for more than one day, like the one I'm wearing now (which is the spider web funky french) I'm at the fifth day! Today I'll change to something new though. Anyhow, I think the archive thing works really great with my way of blogging, I like scheduling things and preparing, that's how I'm able to post almost every single day. I'm also like this in general, I love planning stuff in advance. Now to the issue, I'm developing and mostly I try to post the "oldest" photos first so things don't get stuck in the archive. For some weeks ago I however did some cleanup in my huge archive and actually tossed away a bunch of "ugly made swatches" that I didn't think reached even my lowest standard (wrong color + weird poses and the sloppiest painting and cleanup ever). HOWEVER, I did find some old nail art, they are some what also sloppy and the execution differ from how I like my photos/manicures to look today. BUT I actually liked some of the nail art's ideas, even though the execution aren't always the best. Therefore I'm this week basically will show old nail arts. I hope you'll also will find this fun and also see that improvement does happen! ;)

Above I have a swatch of Kleancolor - Wonder Winterland (above 5 coats) but I'll do a proper re-swatch of it later, because I actually liked it despite the sheerness. I used it as a base for the below nail art below. I've basically use masking tape which I've cut thinner and then there's dots and also matte top coat. I liked the concept and colors of this. This particular photos aren't that old, I wore it in January 2013 but I have older ones for you tomorrow.

Polishes used:
Kleancolor - Winter Wonderland
Kleancolor - Neon Sapphire
Kleancolor - Pastel Blue
Kleancolor - Madly Matte

I hope you'll think this will be fun to see some old, perhaps "less good photos" for this week. And as always, what do you think of this nail art?

  2. I also have many pictures in my archives, but they're mostly swatches, because I only started doing nail art after I started the blog. I think is great to see the evolution, and how much attention we pay to taking pictures as well :)

  5. This is gorgeous, I love the colours you've used :D The dot nai art is beautiful. I am to have a full archive but normally my nail art is done prior to posting :( I am only good at collecting swatches because if my weekend is quiet I'll get a whole bunch done :D Having to do 5 coats would drive me crazy but the results are stunning and very unusual! xx
